So I've never understood the rule that the ball running out at the 1 would be Seattle ball at the 1

but if it goes out of the endzone, it’s charger ball at the twenty. Why don’t they make it Seattle ball at the 1? Makes more sense.

by B.B.Finnegan on Sep 26, 2010 2:56 PM PDT reply actions

Dont know

You think Possession would be 9/10ths of the law instead of the other way around

Fade routes to Deion Branch only work against Kelly Jennings

by BleedGreenandBlue on Sep 26, 2010 2:57 PM PDT up reply actions

Cause its a touchback.

Think of it on a non breakaway play. The RB tries to dive over the pile and fumbles into the endzone. Why should the offensive team get the ball back on the one?

by Scruffy Lefty on Sep 26, 2010 2:58 PM PDT up reply actions

As in like kickoffs?

Still doesn’t make sense. When you kick off and it goes into the endzone for a touchback, it’s charger ball at the 20, but if you kickoff and it goes out of bounds at the one, it’s not Seattle ball at the one is it

So the rules are different. Or should be different for kickoffs vs regular play (as it already is anyway)

Rivers has the Best deep ball in the NFL today.

Arguably. He leads the league since 2008 with deep completions. And what’s crazy is he was criticized before the draft that he didn’t have an arm good for more than 40. Looks pretty good to me though. It will take 4 more drives like that to get a win though.

by Benne on Sep 26, 2010 4:49 PM PDT up reply actions

i'll summarize any rational viewpoint on why he should get a 2nd chance

1) He’s done his jail time
2) He’s evidently still good enough to play

it doesn’t really need a lot more discussion than that

by kow on Sep 26, 2010 4:49 PM PDT up reply actions

to be fair there are a lot of ppl holding him to a double standard

possibly due to race, or possibly due to just wanting to bring him down for all the hype he got, but he deserves a chance to earn himself a spot on a team

by kow on Sep 26, 2010 4:52 PM PDT up reply actions

And besides, didn't we already go through this song and dance when he got out of jail?

Why are people still rehashing the thing? He paid his debt to society, I say let him play if he’s good enough.

I hate how I chalked this up as a loss, and I chalked up the Texans game as a win.

But, in all honesty the Seahawks needed this win much much much much more than the Texans needed their win.

We’re watching a beloved family member get old and become senile and crazy. It hurts to watch, and we’re doing everything we can to make him right, but as the sands of time roll on, we realize that it’s no use, that the only good thing left to do is to pull the plug.
