So I've never understood the rule that the ball running out at the 1 would be Seattle ball at the 1
but if it goes out of the endzone, it’s charger ball at the twenty. Why don’t they make it Seattle ball at the 1? Makes more sense.
Dont know
You think Possession would be 9/10ths of the law instead of the other way around

Cause its a touchback.
Think of it on a non breakaway play. The RB tries to dive over the pile and fumbles into the endzone. Why should the offensive team get the ball back on the one?
by Scruffy Lefty on Sep 26, 2010 2:58 PM PDT up reply actions
As in like kickoffs?
Still doesn’t make sense. When you kick off and it goes into the endzone for a touchback, it’s charger ball at the 20, but if you kickoff and it goes out of bounds at the one, it’s not Seattle ball at the one is it
So the rules are different. Or should be different for kickoffs vs regular play (as it already is anyway)
by B.B.Finnegan on Sep 26, 2010 3:04 PM PDT up reply actions
If you kick it out of bounds its a penalty on a kickoff. Punt it down at the one. Punt it into the endzone its a touchback.
by Scruffy Lefty on Sep 26, 2010 3:07 PM PDT up reply actions
Exactly, rules are different
So i don’t understand why they don’t make it make more sense in regular play
anyway! doesn’t matter

Why would you reward the offensive team for fumbling into their scoring endzone?

I didn’t mean JUST Vick, but maybe as a backup/temporary starter/wrench in the defense.
I’d never rely on him as the future.
But I’ll ask again at the end of the season, heh.
Oh, I agree.
But I don’t necessarily want to START who we draft.
He's a career 55% passer
his best passing year was like 6 years ago. Hes old and peaked in terms of development.

Rivers has the Best deep ball in the NFL today.
Arguably. He leads the league since 2008 with deep completions. And what’s crazy is he was criticized before the draft that he didn’t have an arm good for more than 40. Looks pretty good to me though. It will take 4 more drives like that to get a win though.

Hass
Has been pretty good today, he’s up to 212 yards
Exactly
I wouldn’t really say that he’s been pretty good today. He’s hit the wide open guys that warranted simple throws, but he’s missed nearly every wide open man that has demanded some ability to make a real throw

That pass over Herring’s head, the coverage on the 2 pt conversion. Something wasn’t right. they either were dead tired, confused, or unwilling.

I’m pretty sure, as professional football players, they’re not C.
He's the best lineman on the team, by far

on why Michael Vick gets a 2nd chance…. good grief
People still watch ESPN "analysis"?
Is that the light at the end of the tunnel, or the headlights of an oncoming train?
i'll summarize any rational viewpoint on why he should get a 2nd chance
1) He’s done his jail time
2) He’s evidently still good enough to play
it doesn’t really need a lot more discussion than that
I didn't disagree with him
just found the lecture unnecessary
to be fair there are a lot of ppl holding him to a double standard
possibly due to race, or possibly due to just wanting to bring him down for all the hype he got, but he deserves a chance to earn himself a spot on a team
on the other hand his career has the same potential for "okay SHUT UP ALREADY"
that it’s always had
And besides, didn't we already go through this song and dance when he got out of jail?
Why are people still rehashing the thing? He paid his debt to society, I say let him play if he’s good enough.
Is that the light at the end of the tunnel, or the headlights of an oncoming train?
