He was fun to watch at least. He was one of the few people that kept my attention. I hope he gets picked up by a good team and sacks Whitehurst for years to come. Long live Nick Reed

It was an injury settlement.

They could have kept him, I guess, but it’s not the same as just cutting him because they don’t think he can contribute.

I wasn't much a fan of his..

…but it is an injury settlement, so technically he is a free agent. Once healed, he can resign with us or move on.

In other news, anybody use an RSS reader for Field Gulls? Has yours been lagging? I get Field Gulls posts about 12 hours late in Google Reader. In fact, I didn’t get either of todays posts in my reader. I was actually reading ESPN comments because I thought there was no FG today.

We haven’t seen much of Reed this preseason due to his injury, and for awhile there it seemed that Dexter Davis was the new Nick Reed, but then I guess he kind of fell off. I didn’t see the last game so maybe something else happened.
