Post Your Hawk: Week 4
Seattle Seahawks (2-1) vs. St. Louis Rams (1-2)
Seattle injuries: Aaron Curry LB (Hamstring, DNP Wednesday); Ben Hamilton G (Knee, DNP Wednesday); LeRoy Hill LB (Calf/Achilles, OUT); Sean Locklear T (Knee, LP Wednesday); Brandon Mebane DT (Calf, DNP Wednesday); Marcus Trufant CB (Ankle, DNP Wednesday); E.J. Wilson DE (Knee, DNP Wednesday)
St. Louis injuries: Oshiomogho Atogwe S (Thigh, DNP Wednesday); Billy Bajema TE (Knee, DNP Wednesday); Chris Chamberlain LB (Toe, DNP Wednesday); Craig Dahl S (Head, LP Wednesday); Michael Hoomanawanui TE (Ankle, DNP Wednesday); Steven Jackson RB (Groin, DNP Wednesday); Laurent Robinson WR (Foot, DNP Wednesday); Clifton Ryan DT (Migraines, DNP Wednesday); Darell Scott DT (Ankle, DNP Wednesday); Darian Stewart S ( Hamstring, DNP Wendesday); Keith Tolston RB (Shoulder, LP Wednesday)
Steven Jackson possibly not being ready to go on Sunday is huge for the Seahawks. To be honest, I'm a little scared of this game. St. Louis looks to be a much better team than they were last year, and until the Seahawks start winning some games on the road, I'll always fear games away from Qwest. That being said, I think the Seahawks will pull this one out, but it'll be close. My Hawk is John Carlson. 5 catches, 65 yards, 1 TD, with the other four catches going for first downs. The Hawks win a squeaker, 17-16.
BleedGreenandBlue takes home the honors for last week's amazing prediction. Here's the link to the point prediction spreadsheet: Link. Remember, in order to qualify for the title, you have to pick at least 75% of the games this year, as we're picking the winner based on the average difference, not total points.

Rams get sloppy with young team
Get beat 26-13. Mike Williams 87 yards on 8 catches.
Though they sink through the Sea, they shall rise again...Death shall have no dominion...
Forsett 124 yrds, 2TDs.
Hawks win 28-17
Oh, and ET Phonehome Bad Bones Klingon Ballhawkin’ Earl Thomas with a pick…. (you had better believe I’m predicting that every game)..
This week im goingto go with
my boy Lofa Tatupu with all round great play in coverage baiting Bradford into a pick and generally being Lofa. Hasselbeck has a good game cementing himself as a starter but debate still rages because it’s the Rams.
hawks win 28-17
Damn...
Didn’t notice the above predicted score was the same.

Carlson's a good pick, but I'll go with
Forsett: 102 yards and a TD
Big play Babs with a pick
Hawks win 35-10
Seahawks 34 Rams 16
The Rams arnt playing the Raiders this week so this one is a little more lopsided than one might think. Carrol actually kicks some field goals in this game :) 2 to be exact.
The Bend but dont break Hawks Give Bradford a meaningless 300 yards on 55 attempts but he is not as stone cold when the Wolves come. 2 fumbles and 3 Ints and I am tempted to add a safety to this. Rams Kick 3 Field Goals and score 1 TD. Can anyone say opportunistic.
Hawk of the Week is Forsett don’t underestimate him he is a Fantasy sleeper of the week with 184 AP yards and 3 TD. Sleeper Hawk is Hasselback who shuts me up for a week and has a good game. Well managed mixed with screens and 250 yards passing and 3 TD. First Game without an Int.
I support us using L. WASH in the Wild Hawk with Forsett and a little Tate.

Oh!! Forgot to add if Jackson Plays Hawthorne rips out his groin, it will be distrubing to watch

2nd place last week yeahhhhh!
Unfortunatly I have no feel for the Rams this year. My gut says blowout, but that may just be that burrito talkin.
Hawks 30
Rams 13
9 points by Mare
Tate with a td and manbearpig (Leon) with 120 apy and a td
Forsett runs wild in the second half, give him a td and 180 yards rushing
Go Manbearpig!!!
I support us using L. WASH in the Wild Hawk with Forsett and a little Tate.

Matt Hasselbeck.
320 yards passing, 3 TDs, one interception. The past three games have made it clear Matt is struggling against secondaries that have talent. I think the Rams will make him look great for a game, even after what they did to the Redskins, and push off Whitehurst’s debut a few more weeks.
Seahawks 24, Rams 13.
I have been 3 for 3 being wrong about my picks, so to guarantee a Hawk win, I must pick the Rams 20-17
My player of the week:
Golden Tate — 4 catches, 153 total yards (including returns)
If you would check last weeks thread
I picked Seahawks 24-17….somehow you missed me on the spreadsheet.
This week I say Seahawks 24-6.
I think we get the run game going and Forsett hits 100 yds and a TD.
Clemons gets a sack and a FF.
It's going to be a close game.
Final score: Seahawks 24, Rams 20.
It seems like there is a problem with the Rams secondary, so I’m thinking the big winner here will be a receiver. I am going with Deion Branch for 5 catches, 112 yards and the team’s sole offensive touchdown of the week.
I think we get a special teams or defensive touchdown or two-probably Thomas with a pick-6. I say we also get a fumble recovery by Bryant.
...so can multiple people pick the same player?
I didn’t think it worked that way. I thought it was pick a player, pick a score. Not “pick 7 players, some of which have been picked several times before.”
Anyway.
MEBANE 2 sacks. Seattle wins 17-10
Also, so I fit in in this thread, Justin Forsett: tackled for loss several times while dancing around like an idiot behind the line.

There's no reason you couldn't pick the same player.
As long as your reasons (stats) for picking that player are different.

Ehh, sorry. Upon re-reading my statement, it came across a little harsh.
It was meant to be a joke.

John Carlson continues his roll
with 6 catches, 50+ yards and 1 TD.
Game won’t even be close. Hawks win 24 to 9.
Seahawks 27-21
Deon Butler 5 catch 75 yards, TD
Deon Branch 5 catch 85 yards, TD
Bad “deuce” Bones: Int
This team needs more Dee-ahn.
Bring back Grant!
Though they sink through the Sea, they shall rise again...Death shall have no dominion...
Lawyer Milloy - leads the team in tackles and forces a fumble.
I am guessing this will be a close defensive game.

This might be late but, Hawks - 27, Rams - 10
Clemons shreds the line again and comes away with 2 sacks and 2 tackles for loss.
"Oh, the usual. I bowl. Drive around. The occasional acid flashback."
Island Hawk picked us to lose 20 to 17

The winner shouldn't be picked on score. That will be reflected in the point difference.
Pick your winner based on who you think most closely nailed the player prediction.

We should do a pick your favorite former hawk on the bye week.
Could be a tie breaker or a couple bonus points or something. Just a thought since I thought it would be amusing to have something to root for/look for Hawks related on the bye. Or maybe best practice performance (I kid, probably Tate anyways. He sounds like a practice field hero and hopefully a game day hero soon).
