Up late?

Get some sleep. Tommorow (today) should be a busy day.

I don't like

That Brandon Jones has a chance to be on the final 53. He sucks…

by PhoneHomeET29 on Sep 4, 2010 2:05 AM PDT via mobile reply actions

No Julius Jones.

Interesting. I’m sort of surprised with Schmidt over Jones.

If Brandon Jones makes the roster, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him drop off of it again if the team gets Vincent Jackson or a player off of waivers next week. He’s definitely a fringe guy.

Also, grabbing Ramsey after he was dropped by the Saints is interesting. Was it the Saints? Anyway, I don’t know if I’d call him better or worse than Losman, but the shadow roster needs more blood.

I think I might have to make Cord Parks the new Nick Reed. I have to have some ridiculous underdog to worship/root for.

Does Hill have trade value?

Hill to the Bears? When is Ruskell make a move on one of his guys?

by Ditka Baggins on Sep 4, 2010 2:27 AM PDT reply actions

Not much, I assume

Expensive, often injured, major off-field problems.

by John Morgan on Sep 4, 2010 2:28 AM PDT up reply actions

will the Hawks cut a injury settlement with him?

Or is he not that banged up and gets straight up released? I like Schneider, I like the fact that they are targeting bigger players, and they seem to have a plan.

by Ditka Baggins on Sep 4, 2010 2:50 AM PDT up reply actions

Hill?

He will rejoin the team after his suspension is up. Hill is still Seattle’s second best linebacker.

Terrill over Pitcock?

Say it isn’t so, Morgan!

It's Great to be a Florida Gator!

Here's hoping this is the offseason that Craig Terrill is finally released.

by Wayward Llama on Sep 4, 2010 3:17 AM PDT reply actions

Agreed

I really want Terrillible to be gone.

by J.L. White on Sep 4, 2010 8:46 AM PDT up reply actions

Perhaps we could trade housh for him?

Al least ESPN is saying that they will release or trade him, for whatever that’s worth.

by mooseman923 on Sep 4, 2010 7:09 AM PDT up reply actions

Goddamn I like this lineup.

Though I’d rather we take the shot on Pitcock over Terrill.

…and no #26…. * sniff *

Roster predictions are a fool's errand with this front office

I should go back and look at my post-draft roster analysis, which I think had LenDale White as a “lock”. Nice.

A player that you may not have noticed is

WYCHE – I believe he is a DE, but, could play at LB also. Not sure though. I did watch the last game and after Wyche had only been here for 2 days before the game, turned in a very nice game and made several tackles and pressured the QB a couple of times. NO consideration for him? Just wondered what you thot of him, as you didn’t mention him in this article. Thanks and keep up the good reporting.

I'm avoiding all coverage until 1:01PM

and fully expecting a few more moves that will crush my fan psyche.

In regard to Ray Willis

I believe he is headed to IR, ending his season. As for Nick Reed, I believe that the “injury settlement” is a move to open up a roster spot until he is healthy, when he will probably be resigned.

No Jamar Adams?

I find that interesting considering how much more he played than Chancellor this preseason.

by Jo-Jo on Sep 4, 2010 9:44 AM PDT reply actions

John, whats the logic on some of these decisions?

Keeping 3 quarterbacks instead of 2? I thought Bates seemed to favor the Denver strategy of 2 QB’s instead of 3.

Terrill over Pitcock? Terrill is the known (less than mediocre) commodity, but Pitcock seems to have more talent and upside.

Tate over Butler (nit-picky, but it seems that Butler has outplayed Tate this preseason and has more experience)?

Babineaux/Chancellor/Parks/Lewis over Jamar Adams? If for some reason Tebow gets in the game week 2 we are going to need Jamar to lay the wood.

Pinkard on Practice Squad? I thought he was on some non-football injury list…

I can see reason for each of the decisions, was just looking for some more explanation.

Poor Pete

With like 750 guys being released today can you imagine Carroll going flat bananas over the list of players at his reach. I love the guy but thank god for roster limits eh ?

ESPN

IS reporting ALEX GIBBS is gone as OL coach, omg hope i spelled his name right.
