The 2010-2011 NFC West was the worst division in the NFL, no doubt. However, you have to realize that its not completely the Hawks fault that situation of a 7-9 team in the playoffs, arose. Especially sense the two teams that were suppose to lead the division, the 49ers and Cardinals, fell flat on their faces. Okay maybe it is partially the Hawks fault that the 49ers started losing..... But what about the Cards? Coming into the Hawks vs Cards game they were 2-3, not exactly a team out their winning their ball games. The fact that Pete Carrol came in his first season and did as much to this roster as he did and finished7-9 is fantastic, as for the playoffs...."PLAYOFFS? Don't talk to me about the PLAYOFFS! I don't think that the current playoff system is broke. The Buc fans and Giant fans can complain all they want, but its not, see 2008 Arizona Cardinals? Also the majority of the NFL Network staff say, do not change the playoff system. That is unless we see a trend of 7-9 teams getting into the playoffs.
