Future Rookie Salary Cap Could Push Luck Into Draft
Here is a comprehensive article from Jason Cole regarding influencing factors in Luck's decision to stay in school vs going pro. Cole has Stanford's president and John Elway both quoted saying Luck should go...
This only helps the Seahawks as Cam Newton and Blaine Gabbert will be pushed down the board. With those 3 likely drafted by pick 10, the list of teams with QB needs grows thin. Mallett and Locker will be the top prospects left. We might see 5 QBs taken in the 1st round this year.

The more QBs in the draft, the better our chance at getting a good one

I hope Luck doesn't declare, so we have a chance of picking either him or Matt Barkley in the 2012 draft
But that’s just wishful thinking.
I hope we find a way to right the ship that doesn't involve a horrible, no-good 2011
but, then again, we could end up drafting at the top of the round next year with somebody else’s pick. Either way, I don’t think these sorts of things are predictable.

I wouldn't be surprised if the rookie salary makes teams reconsider drafting a QB at the top of the draft
Pushing some of them down a few picks.
At any rate, I’m doubtful that we’ll see 3 QB’s drafted in the top ten.
