Post Your Hawk: Week 7

Gyi0062976923_medium

Seattle Seahawks (2-3) vs. Cleveland Browns (2-3)

Seattle Injuries: Robert Gallery OG (Groin, FP Wed., FP Thurs.); Tarvaris Jackson QB (Pectoral, LP Wed., LP Thurs.); Marshawn Lynch RB (Ankle, FP Wed., FP Thurs.); Zach Miller TE (Neck/Head, DNP Wed., DNP Thurs.); Malcolm Smith LB (Hamstring, FP Wed., FP Thurs.); Max Unger C (Foot, DNP Wed., DNP Thurs.); Mike Williams WR (Concussion, FP Wed., FP Thurs.)

Cleveland Injuries: Titus Brown LB (Ankle, FP Wed., FP Thurs.); Joshua Cribbs WR (Knee, FP Wed., FP Thurs.); Scott Fujita LB (Head, DNP Wed., DNP Thurs.); Joe Haden DB (Knee, DNP Wed., DNP Thurs.); Artis Hicks OL (Back, DNP Wed., DNP Thurs.); Peyton Hillis RB (Hamstring, DNP Wed., DNP Thurs.); Alex Mack OL (Illness, LP Wed., LP Thurs.); Evan Moore TE (Ankle, FP Wed., FP Thurs.); Tony Pashos OL (Ankle, LP Wed., LP Thurs.); Buster Skrine DB (Hip, LP Wed., DNP Thurs.); Ray Ventrone DB (Hamstring, DNP Wed., DNP Thurs.)

Star-divide

My Hawk this week is David Hawthorne. With Hillis ailing, and the Cleveland running game really struggling, I think he piles up a crazy amount of tackles (somewhere in the neighborhood of 12-15) and defends a pass as well. However, Whitehurst (assuming he starts) doesn't do well on the road following the bye and sinks the Hawks in an ugly game. Cleveland takes it, 23-13.

Just about everybody who chose Ben Obomanu, or Doug Baldwin takes the cake last week. Here's the link to the point prediction spreadsheet: Link. Remember to get your score predictions in, as you can't miss more than 25% (4 weeks) of the season and still qualify for the championship. There are several users already on the trembling edge of being eliminated.

Who ya got?

This week is actually a toughy for me....

BUT…lets go with:

Seahawks 20 – Cleveland 16

I gotta go with Baldwin… Browns will have their best guys on Rice and Williams since he looks like he’s set to return. Baldwin will shine out of the slot and will burn any nickle back and slash the zones

7 catches, 91 yards and a TD

Yeah, it was a rough week for a lot of us.

Probably the second most unlikely outcome of a Seahawks game since we’ve been doing the point prediction — the NFC Wild Card game takes first place, but this one is a close second.

I've got Chris Clemons this week

Guy terrorizes the Browns’ offensive line on passing downs, with 2 sacks, a handful of QB hits, a tackle for a loss, and a couple destructive hits on Hardesty who foolishly tries to help out in pass blocking.

SEA! wins it on the back of their D and Beef Mo’, 26 – 17.

I've got Pat Shurmer

He’ll be the difference maker for the Seahawks.

12 penalties for 127 yards, two wasted timeouts and 1 special teams TD allowed.

Dawgs by Nature -- now with 30% more nuts!

Leon better be gettin a kickoff return TD soon.

Seems like most teams aint havin too much of a problem gettin kicks from the 35. But Leon just been lookin awful. That one punt return he had against ATL was nice but thats it for the whole season.

no

he’s put us in position a couple times already. Had a few good ones at NYG as well. Our ST guys blocking and lane integrity was sucking until last weekish

Caballo Blanco baby!!

18/26 220 yards 2 tds, 0 picks, 1 burly audible to a run that gains a critical third down, four gorgeous slow-mo shots of his hair. Eight toothy smiles in post-victory presser. You heard it here first.

I'll take Marshawn Lynch for 115 yards and a TD please.

Seahawks pull out a squeaker, 22-20.

Joe Haden practiced today I guess. Not that he’ll play necessarily, but their best defensive player being in or out is a huge factor.

First practice since October 2nd.

If he plays, he won’t be nearly 100%.

Also, two of their O-linemen are questionnable. Alex Mack is probable.

Their hobbled offense against our healthy D should be 3-and-out city.

Always up for some Twitter action @nandron. I only talk NW sports, though.

Got to love The Walrus.

Favorite moments were when Holmgren was so goddam mad at Matt, and instead of letting him have it, they had a rule between the two that they would ignore each other outright and let it calm down. So hilarious and so telling of their relationship.

Meanwhile Holmgren’s skin color turned to a dark state of purple.

He’s been up and down this year, although I still dont believe he’s fully healthy, but I feel that Sunday will be a big game for him, either in a good way or a bad way. With Little and Massaquoi, not to mention Cribbs, the Cleveland WR corp has the speed to stretch the field. Luckily, their QB has the arm strength of a 12 year old girl.
