Don't laugh Charlie. You blew goats

Cincinnati Bengals (4-2) vs. Seattle Seahawks (2-4)

Cincinnati Injuries: Nate Clements CB (Knee, LP Wed., LP Thurs.); Howard Thomas LB (Hamstring, DNP Wed., LP Thurs.); Kelly Jennings CB (Hamstring, FP Wed., FP Thurs.); Adam Jones CB (Neck, FP Wed., FP Thurs.); Rey Maualuga LB (Ankle, DNP Wed., DNP Thurs.); Dan Skuta LB (Groin, LP Wed., LP Thurs.)

Seattle Injuries: Atari Bigby S (Hamstring, DNP Thurs.); Brandon Browner (Not injury related, DNP Wed.); Kam Chancellor S (Knee, FP Wed., FP Thurs.); Tarvaris Jackson QB (Pectoral, LP Wed., LP Thurs.); Jeron Johnson S (Ankle, DNP Thurs.); Marshawn Lynch RB (Back, FP Wed., FP Thurs.); Zach Miller TE (Neck/Head, LP Wed., FP Thurs.); Max Unger C (Foot, LP Wed, FP Thurs.)

Star-divide

After last week's shit sandwich, I'm looking for some hope up in this bitch. I'm going deep, a la the Sex Cannon. My Hawk this week is Sydney Rice. Even though I don't think Tarvaris is going to play this week, and even though the Bengals' defense is better than I realized, I believe Rice is going to come up big -- to the tune of 6 catches, 120 yards, and 2 TDs. Hawks win 24-17.

Those who picked David Hawthorne (ME!), or Chris Clemons picked the only two players to have a good week. Nobody took Red Bryant. Here's the link to the point prediction spreadsheet: Link. The last two weeks have been pretty ugly for the majority of us. Also, this week's spreadsheet reflects the first week in which people have been dropped from the list as they've already missed more than four weeks. Even if you've been eliminated from the championship, you can still give me score predictions and I'll still track them in the spreadsheet; I'll just hide the rows when it comes to linking to it in the Post Your Hawk FanPost.

Wow

In the excitement of being first post, I actually did not even read your predictions until I finished posting mine, I just realized I probably look like a total douche for picking same player, same TDs and same effing SCORE?!?!?!

We can raise beers together when our prediction comes true.

Kelly Jennings is the 4th CB

And I don’t think Tarvaris would exploit that matchup anyway

The D will force the Bengals into a mostly one dimension passing game. Earl gets a pick 6.
Runner-up: Chris Clemons with 1FF and 2 more sacks.

With Charlie at the reins, another defensive battle. Hawks 12-7.

If so, I will take Cameron Morrah as my guy to get a TD and 70 yards.
Miller will be back blocking as our line gets destroyed.

How hostile will the crowd be to me?

IM a Bengals fan and will be wearing an orange hat. i would assume they wont give me too much crap because a) the Bengals arent any kind of rival, and b) we have historically sucked.

Basically, do I need to bring a shank??

Seattle sports hostility is mostly sarcasm

You will likely be goaded by everyone around you but leave feeling like you made some new friends. I would highly recommend ear protection as you likely wont be a willing participant in the torrent of noise and that would have to be annoying as an opposing fan.

by CMoney87 on Oct 28, 2011 1:11 PM PDT via mobile up reply actions

sounds good

I wasn’t actually scared of being assaulted, more curious of the level of “asshole-ness” that I am about to encounter. Im expecting more raised eyebrows, as I will probably be one of 3-4 Bengals fans in the building.

Im looking forward to it,. have never been to a seahawk game. I promise if the Bengals win that I wond be the guy yelling “WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO” in the concourse after the game. those types deserve ass-whippings

by Derftron on Oct 28, 2011 2:21 PM PDT up reply actions

You probably won't see a lot of hostility.

You’ll probably get a lot of “Hey man, you came all the way out here for the game? Bitchin!” and “wouldn’t it be awesome if one of us rooted for a good team? Oh well!” comments.

But that would require an alternate universe.

Incidentally, this game also saw Hawthorne jumping a short route for a pick, and Kam knocking AJ Green silly.

So all that too.
