Seahawks release FB Eddie Williams
With FB Michael Robinson back from injury, Eddie Williams was the first on the cutting block. This move was made to create space for David Vobora, with the hope that Matt McCoy will be back later in the season.

So when these players get signed and then cut after one or two games...
…what happens with their salary? Are they basically paid for the games that they play?
I think that
when signed off another teams practice squad, you have to give them 3 game checks regardless of whether you keep them on your active roster for 3 weeks or not. But I also thought that they took up one of your 53 active roster spots for that 3 week period, so unless Eddie Williams has been here for 3 weeks minimum, his release wouldn’t clear a roster spot until that 3 weeks is up. However, since they signed him on Sep 13th (I jut looked it up), exactly 3 weeks ago today, its all good.
You're correct, it's 3 weeks, 3 gamechecks minimum, and he's fulfilled that so he was free to cut
And that’s what happens, TMann, you’re paid for the games you play, unless you’re from the PS in which case you automatically get three weeks.

Goodbye
Mr. Williams we hardly knew you. Not that that is a bad thing.
Maybe, but time will tell...
…how much difference a specialist fullback made compared to a utility monster
