Baltimore Ravens (6-2) vs. Seattle Seahawks (2-6)

Baltimore Injuries: Matt Birk C (Neck, DNP Wed., FP Thurs.); Anthony Allen RB (Thigh, LP Wed., DNP Thurs.); Brendon Ayanbadejo LB (Head, LP Wed., LP Thurs.); Dannell Ellerbe LB (Thigh, LP Wed., LP Thurs.); Lee Evans WR (Ankle, LP Wed., LP Thurs.); Kris Wilson TE (Calf, LP Wed., LP Thurs.); Chykie Brown CB (Knee, FP Wed.); Ed Reed S (Shoulder, DNP Thurs.); Terrell Suggs LB (Knee, DNP Thurs.)

Seattle Injuries: Tarvaris Jackson QB (Pectoral; DNP Wed., FP Thurs.); Cameron Morrah TE (Toe/Knee, DNP Wed., LP Thurs.); Sidney Rice WR (Foot, DNP Wed., LP Thurs.); David Vobora LB (Concussion, DNP Wed., DNP Thurs.)

Star-divide

Not a ton of time this week, so I'll jump right to the point. My Hawk this week is Brandon Mebane. I think the lackluster Baltimore rushing attack struggles against the Hawks at home, which Mebane notching a couple of tackles for loss and a forced fumble. However, the Hawks can't do anything offensively against a stout Ravens defense and fall 17-3.

Here's the link to the point prediction spreadsheet: Link. I've started tracking the adjusted average now, and that's how the spreadsheet is sorted. The adjusted number simply tosses out your worst two weeks. Things should normalize in a couple of weeks as we get a larger sample size.

Who ya got?!

Allright, two solid showings in a row...gotta keep it up

I agree with you Hatz… but I’m thinking about putting my money on Hawthorne. I WAS going to go Big Red in compliment to your Mebane… both will do awesome, but I think they’ll be more disruptive, not actually make the plays. That leaves Hawthorne to come in and clean up.

I think he’ll post 8 tackles, 2 stuffs for no gain, 1 PD, and a FF

Ravens win 23 – 9
(Flacco will have 2 touchdowns, one to Torrey Smith burning Browner, the other to Boldin against Sherman who has solid coverage but can’t make the play. Rest is FG’s as we hold tight…. we kick 3 lowly field gulls…err goals)

Ravens 27-10 (SEA with a defensive or return TD)

I'm gonna go with Marshawn

I think the Seahawks will be playing from behind, so Jackson will put some decent passing numbers again, but they will continue to focus on the run, and with the increase in blocking “prowess” they’ve shown lately, I think Beast Mode will spring free for a couple decent runs, and will accumulate relatively high yardage despite a low YPC.

Along the lines of 24 carries for 85 yards a TD, with 3 catches for 26 yards.

Ravens 30-20.

by Matt Erickson on Nov 11, 2011 3:43 PM PST reply actions

I agree on Marshawn

He will probably get a good percentage of runs in the first half to try to control some TOP. But I think we find ourselves down at the half and relying on the pass to try to get the W.

Lynch near 75 in the first half and over 100 by game’s end with BMW getting more targets (after TJ sees all the ‘shoulda beens’ from the previous game).

Lynch – 118 yds, 4. 2 ypc 1 rd
BMW. 8 targets, 6 catches for 80 yds.
TJ – 250+ 28/37 1 TD 2 picks (one off a tipped ball).

FINAL
31-23 Ravens…

Damn, go Hawks!!!

The Department of Redundancy Department is hiring, maybe I should apply myself.

Guess I don’t type td much when on my android while talking about the Seahawks…

I will be at the game, hoping for a close one

If we can somehow keep the Baltimore defense guessing and guessing wrong then we should be able to keep pace offensively. In order for us to win, however, we would need a shutdown type effort from our secondary.

My Guys: ET and Kam, a pick by ET and a ball jarring hit by Kam

But it won’t be enough Hawks lose 10-24.

Eternally looking forward to someone making a Seahawks song based off of Lil' Jon's "Shots" song named "Hawks!"

that helps i guess. With Reed hapless on the sidelines, this is the game where everybody says OH, THATS why they compared ET to Ed Reed with a pick 6 and a FF.

Defense gives up 20 points but ST and offense hands them a ton of points.

I respect your opinion even though it's wrong.

I'll second that

Hauscha kicks a 40+ yard field goal for the Hawks only score. I see this one ending up 35-3. I don’t see the Ravens putting up a lot of points unless they can force a lot of turnovers and make a few defensive scores like they did against the Jets. I just see the Seahawks with a lot of short three and outs.

You completely blew out my rediculous stat posting so Im going to have to up the anty, I was gonna go with Tavaris playing with chemicals in his lab before the game, as he gets struck by lightning, he develops superhuman speed and throws for 32-32 with 900 yards each to himself and 12 Touchdowns, Seattle wins 84-21
