Week 10 Early Games Open Thread
Lots of very good morning games to follow. Bills/Cowboys, Saints/Falcons, Texans/Bucs, and of course Rams/Browns. I have no rooting interest in any of these games and neither should you unless you're following lesser games like Redskins/Dolphins for draft position.
I'm struggling to pull 75 words out of this so let me talk about my fantasy team:
- MATT SCHAUB GO THROW MORE!
- Atlanta better use Tony Gonzalez and Julio Jones like crazy.
- I started out the season 3-1 and am now 3-6 with one of the worst offenses in the league. Hence, Schaub is on my roster after I traded away Philip Rivers. Since the trade, Schaub hasn't even thrown 50 passes. Typical.
- As I type this up, Matt Schaub threw an 80 yard touchdown pass. That'll do.

Desean Jackson is inactive after missing a morning meeting
I think the Eagles release him. Maclin seems to be better than Jackson.

If the Rams lose today...
Does anyone think that some of the coaching staff gets the boot?

1-15, 7-9, 1-15 again?
Probably.
I think Whisenhunt should be on the hot seat.

I've been saying the same thing for a couple weeks
All my Cardinal fan friends say I am crazy.
I think Whiz is too well-liked in AZ to be on the hot-seat quite yet. If they continue to suck this season and through next season, then yes, it’ll happen.
Anymore 8 minute drives and they'll ruin my fantasy week.

You got Brees on your team?
Because I have Gonzalez and Julio Jones starting and Ryan is in full checkdown and handoff mode.

Brees & Sproles.
Usually good for 50+ a week and as high as 95

I wonder how San Diego would fare if they kept Brees and Sproles
Because I’m sure San Diego misses both of them now.

AJ and Norv would have fucked it up anyways.
How would the Saints have done with Gates, Jackson, Tolbert and those lines?

AJ Green making Dalton look way better than he is...again.
Steelers should have picked that off easily.
For a rookie, Dalton's performing well
He’s better than Gabbert and way worse than Newton.

This long TD to Green just now
was a nice scramble followed by a Hail Mary that Green picked out of double coverage.

Hawks on AFN
Hello guys. I’m a Seahawks fan stationed in Germany right now and I need some help. They have a fans choice game on AFN every week. And what we have is a few Bills fans who have been dominating the weekly vote. Everyone here is sick of it. I’m looking to stage an uprising by getting as many Hawks fans to go to facebook.com/myafn and voting for the Hawks-Rams game next week. Any help the 12th man can give would be greatly appreciated. Go Hawks!!
As much as I want to vote
You guys are stationed in Germany and serving your country. Do you really want everyone to watch 2-7 vs. 1-8?

I agree
it’s not an ideal matchup. But we have been subjected to every Bills game this year. Everyone is of the opinion that any game would be an improvement over what is amounting to the bills network every weekend.
I completely agree
Im in Afghanistan and I was just bitching about having to watch the goddamn Bills like every week it seems like. They have had only one Seahawk game on and it was at like 0200 here. It would just be really nice to watch a Seahawks game.

Heh
For Broncos through a quarter-and-a-half, 23 offensive plays . . . and 22 of them were runs.

He was in as a receiver.
21 yard reception!
Trick play.
RB took snap, pitched it to McCoy who then threw to Seneca.

Well, my cable box is not working for some reason.
Might end up being the best thing that happened to me football-wise, since now I’m using the feeds for the early games too.

Hats off to the Hilton Head (SC) Seahawks
In a high school playoff game, the Seahawks (up big) allowed a player for the opposing team with Downs Syndrome to score on a 75 yard run as the clock expired. Nice little feel-good move.

Most of his passes are these floaters that should never be complete. Good god, Pittsburgh.

I noticed that Jonathan Stewart only has 8 touches today.
Granted, the Panthers have been behind the entire game, but my question is… considering he is essentially their 3rd rushing option behind Cam Newton and DeAngelo Williams (who they have just signed to an extension), could you see the Panthers trading Stewart this offseason? And would you give up a top-10 pick in the 2nd round to get him?
I’m thinking I would, if Lynch left, because I kinda think he could be the best running back in the NFL, perhaps with the exception of Adrian Peterson. He’s young at 24, and excellent in the passing game.
