Seahawks Defeat Ravens 22-17 - Postgame Reaction Thread
Holy shit, the Seahawks won? STOP THE PRESSES.
Use this thread for GTE overflow and inane debates and whatnot. I'll have a proper thread for the SNF game up soon.

Parliament is owls, I thought?
Wiki is calling it an “unkindness” of Ravens, which is the shit.
"The time has come," the Walrus said, "to talk of many things."
You're right, but "parliament of rooks" is what was in my mind.
Gaiman story stuck in my head. Sandman influenced my youth unduly.
“Conspiricy of ravens” sounds correct, though.
Crows, Ravens, Rooks, all in the same family. Funny they each have such unusual group names.

I hope Kam, Doug, Sidney, and Moffit are all ok
I want them back next week.
Really doubt Chancellor and Moffitt will be back (from what people were saying, I'd be surprised if Moffitt is back at all
the rest of the season). Not hugely worried about Rice or Baldwin.
huh?
What makes you think Bam is done? He was laughing with the Docs on the sideline.
His just looked far worse than either Rice or Baldwin.
Maybe it’s not serious, but it sure looked like it was when it happened.
Even worse then that, David Reed had 1 carry for 16 yards
That’s a 16 yard average per run, for those of you not good at math. Pitiful.

So I didnt see the Moffit injury
He done? JP looked good in there
I don't think anyone saw it...
have to wait and see I guess.

Game ball to one Mr. Reed
Sir, we thank you.
Chancellor..
Laid the hat on Boldin. I hope he’s ok and his wallet isn’t destroyed with the fine that’s coming.
Looked like he crowned Bolden in the earhole.
In the slo-mo.
Oh
Chancellor will be getting some mail from 280 Park Avenue for sure. I thought it was a dirty play.
Kam's not known for cheap shots.
Just a young guy going for a big hit. He’ll learn and hopefully not do that again.
Not sure about dirty... but that kind of hit has been penalized and fined all year.
Haven’t seen Kam trying to injure players so far in his career, but dirty is probably somewhat in the eye of the beholder?
Smashmouth is the new sexy!
The refs flagged the Seahawks for excessive celebration, gives the Ravens the ball on the Seahawks 1 inch line.
Only in their dreams tonight.
Holy shit, best sunday in awhile.
Finally got the game streaming on my ps3(which is tough because I live in Boston.) First time watching the game in the comforts of my own home. Hawks get the W. I did go to the Giants vs hawks game and that was right up there too this season.

Me too
But if Browner wasnt there, that would have been an excellent INT from ET. Flying out of nowhere
Except they both were playing for the ball equally.
It think ET should’ve pulled off if not swatting it away. Based on the angle he was coming from he could’ve seen(especially better than Big Browner) that Browner was stepping in for it.
by RawkEmHawkEmBirdbots on Nov 13, 2011 4:38 PM PST up reply actions
Uh
That’s the third time that two Hawks have failed to get an inteception because they ran into each other. The great thing is that defenders are playing thier hearts out, and flying to the ball. I can deal with that because it will make the defense better.
Too awesome

Where the hell did that version of TJ come from
He was composed and accurate. He made quick decisions for good and to kill plays. I am so confused.

I can't even comprehend that we won
I know it happened, I SAW IT WITH MY OWN EYES, it just seems so surreal.
Ten years ago Lewis might have made that play.
Seems like his feet were there but his knees weren’t on board.
That's the play
That broke our back. Lynch ran like a Pro Bowler.
Ho-lee shit. We won. Wow.
Beastmode put up 100 against the Ravens. Nuts.
I was away from the TV for most of the game, but this as pretty great.

The O-Line is dominating last 2 games
The future looks bright on O. Even Tarvaris is showing he can potentially be our starter in the future if the draft gets weird.
by Seahawk_Superbowl on Nov 13, 2011 4:42 PM PST up reply actions
They still looked bad in pass protection at times
But on some of those run plays they were just destroying the Ravens off the line of scrimmage
by B.B.Finnegan on Nov 13, 2011 4:44 PM PST up reply actions
Yeah especially in the 3rd but still
Its Terrell Suggs and Haloti Ngata
Don't know if they looked bad, I think you have to give credit to what is supposed to be a very good D they went up against.
Those guys are going to make some plays throughout a game regardless.
on the majority of runs
the entire ravens d line was pushed back at least a yard

Now we'll get to hear the analysts say how Baltimore lost the game
Not how Seattle won.
well
truthfully, this win was more about their offensive ineptitudeness than us beating them on all fronts. I’m not taking away credit, that’s given where it’s due, but the Ravens had a lot of dropped balls that would’ve kept drives alive.

I’ve never seen so many idiots call others out on their intelligence. Their spelling and grammar hurts to read.
Coincidentally, most of them happen to be Steelers fans.
I don't like those comments section
I don’t like youtube arguments either. That’s why I like Field Gulls. When people make stupid comments, they usually retract them or make a rational argument from it. Like me earlier. I had a kneejerk reaction there.

by Corax --Nevermore-- on Nov 13, 2011 4:50 PM PST up reply actions
Yeah, I don't know.
Sherman struggled when matched up with Smith and the way Flacco played today would make any secondary look good.
A lot of corners are going to struggle with a faster receiver like Smith.
That’s where a smaller, faster corner (like Pistol) comes in handy. Sherman handled Boldin, who’s a good receiver.
I think Browner is gonna have to have packages and not be a starter
but damn has he improved
I wouldn't classify either as damn good
Browner has been terrible many times this season. Don’t mind the aggressive play, but it’s cost us throughout the entire season. He’s the most penalized player in the NFL (10 penalties).
Sherman has a great future however, and I look forward to seeing Sherman and Thurmond for years.

Field goals don’t add-up fast enough. Don’t be fooled Pete. QB…round one!!!

Good point...today...
The others didn’t seem like it. I have remarked before on Sidney making TJ look good. I was hopeful that Baldwin was the keeper from Stanford, but Luck is killin’ it again this year. Between Rice and Jackson, that’s been answered :)
Ball was in Baldwins hands in the end zone when he got hurt
and the pass to Rice is why you have a big receiver who is out there to take the ball despite the coverage… I just don’t see a reason to be that hypercritical. Football is a tough game
Biggest stat of the game has to be the O-Line giving up 1 sack

Do you think he'd be able to get 32 carries if the run game wasn't working?
The YPC is certainly low but we were able to keep the chains moving against a pretty tough run defense.

But they closed out a tough game with a long game ending drive on the ground to eat out the clock...
What more do you want? I have been waiting for that drive for years now!
Lynch was at his best when it was needed the most
Keeping the ball out of the Ravens hands in that last 5 min. was critical .
Wild game and much fun
Head still trying to get around it. We didn’t just win, I think we actually beat them.
So did anyone see Mebane do a lil' chest bump
on Ray Rice in the 3rd(?) quarter? It was flashbacks to Derek Anderson all over again! I love that guy.
