Tyler Palko was the QB that lead to Dave Wannstedt's early success at Pitt

Just kidding of course, Wannstedt has never had success.

Stats are not a euphemism for tits.

It's the Greatriots.

Whatever the Chiefs do it should not count, because their players are not marquee enough to play against the Greatriots and Brady.

Palko is Peter King's King of the week!

RITUAL SACRIFICE. The Greatriot deities demand fresh blood.

Just admit it.

You don’t know what the fuck happened, you weren’t expecting the onside kick either. Admit it, put the flag away and say we’re just going to check the cameras because we don’t know what the fuck happened.

I'll take the points for overall ranking,

but I already clinched this week. By way of Eli Manning shitting the bed for my opponent.

This week: Colt McCoy > Eli Manning

I tried to get too smart with things

Picked up Josh Brown as a backup kicker (1pt) and swapped the Eagles’ defense for the Chargers’ (0pts instead of 11pts). I’m winning but winning ugly.

I gambled a bit because of the bye, but nothing cute.

Sitting at 90 to 47 right now. Jennings going out early hurt, and Mucho Denarious Moore didn’t do much. But the rest did all right.

I picked up the 49ers D a while back and just don’t even think about changing it.

Bad throw by Palko?

Sort of. Still hit the receiver in the hands even though he had to adjust.

This guy got cut from the Redwoods last season, if he can hit a receiver in the hands while getting knocked the fuck out count your blessings.

Yup

That Wilfork pick on the return was pretty nasty.

It's not illogical.

There are lot’s of things to dislike about him.

He’s an elite QB, but over rated at the same time. A system QB, but damn good in that system. But he’s still been exposed.

And if you need another reason, he left his baby momma for a super model he knocked up. And now the super model cuts his hair and dresses him.

He's like her dog. Ugg wearing punk bitch.

Also, Chris Berman (sp?) makes me choke just listening to him.

It's not hard at all.

When the GOAT conversation happens. Steve Young is in the Hall, Fouts is in the hall. Bradshaw won 4 super bowls and is in the Hall.

When greatest ever talk gets going. Guys get over rated.

Maybe. Guess it depends on what list you're working off of.

He’s probably the most accomplished QB of all time though. He’s got the rings, the numbers, the MVPs, the consistency, the wins. Manning is probably the best ever but Brady hangs with everyone else.

by Nate Dogg on Nov 21, 2011 7:47 PM PST up reply actions

Most accomplished?

That’s Joe Montana. And don’t rule out Johnny U. Completely dominating your era with nobody else in the conversation means something.

I’ve never seen better than Montana play. Manning came close-but shit the bed in the post season. Rodgers is the guy that I see who could maybe be better.

Brady is right on Montana's heels though.

Montana won four super bowls, three super bowl MVPs, two regular season MVPs, was first team all pro three times and averaged 11 wins in his full years as a Niners QB. Brady has won three super bowls, two super bowl MVPs, two regular season MVPs, was first team all pro two times and has averaged 12 wins in his full seasons.

As for Unitas, that’s really hard to judge. If you use rate stats, where anything over 100 is above average for that year, Manning and Brady beat Unitas out in most categories. Unitas’ AY/A+ is 111, Manning and Brady’s is 116. For QB rating it’s Unitas 112, Brady 119 and Manning 118. Comp% is Unitas 111, Manning 119 and Brady 113. So even adjusted for era, Brady and Manning come out ahead in stats alone. If you start looking at accolades it becomes a two person race though, with Manning and Unitas running away with it.

Over Rated

At this point in his Career maybe. I think he has fallen behind other QB’s in this league where as for the past 5 or 6 years he was Concesus Top 2

by Bruto56 on Nov 21, 2011 7:44 PM PST up reply actions

This Brady guy, what a player, he makes all the right plays.

If I were starting a team I’d take this guy first. What a top notch player, look at how he blinks. That’s why he’s the best!

by Ventiller on Nov 21, 2011 7:47 PM PST via mobile up reply actions

It's hard to be the best at your position year in and year out.

Brady’s done it a couple times and hasn’t been lower than #2 or #3 for about six years now.

by Nate Dogg on Nov 21, 2011 7:49 PM PST up reply actions

Agreed

The last few NE games i have seen i have seen some pretty bad throws but i just went back and looked at his stat lines and the numbers add up. Maybe im just seeing the shit end of the stick of his Numbers

by Bruto56 on Nov 21, 2011 7:51 PM PST up reply actions

Yeah, it seems like it's kind of a down year for Brady.

And he’s second in ANY/A, NY/A, DYAR, and DVOA and is third in yards, touch downs and completion percentage. And that’s with Rodgers working on the greatest year for a QB of all time.

by Nate Dogg on Nov 21, 2011 7:55 PM PST up reply actions

Maybe

As a Casual Fan ( I say this because i dont go by the new age stats as much and do a little scouting but not as much as alot of you guys on here), it just seems that way from the naked eye. Im so used to him Scorching the league with insane TD/INT numbers that i saw 24/10 and saw another lost fumble tonight and just am drawing conclusions with out the necessary work put in.

Thank You for pointing out more concrete numbers for me

And for the Record, RIP Nate Dogg,

palko

Well, I could be wrong, but I believe, uh, Palko is an old, old wooden ship that was used during the Civil War era.

This game started out okay, but now bleh.

Next week should be good, Gmen and Saints.
