Better than Troy Polamalu? Better than Earl Thomas? Better than everyone? According to Advanced NFL Stats, yes, yes, and yes.

And Earl Thomas at #5, what a duo

Also, Clemons as #2 ranked defensive end. And Browner as #6 at cornerback? How’s that? Wasn’t he supposed to be about the worst ever at the beginning of the season (though not using this rating system)?

But hey, Aaron Curry at #134 for linebackers, so sounds about right.

Yeah, Browner's ranking really surprised me.

And I love it how Raiders fans were optimistic about Aaron Curry.

Curry got a fumble recovery last week against Minny

He’s getting there. He’ll be at backup level in about 5 years.

I respect your opinion even though it's wrong.

Take away the penalties and he's really good.

The penalties are bad, at least the ones that were actually penalties. He has done some stupid things, but has been flagged on some terrible calls. Over all a nice addition in my opinion.

Defensive WPA has a hard time measuring bad plays.

If Browner gets burned and Earl Thomas makes a tackle, Browner doesn’t show up in the metrics. He also gets a gigantic boost from the pick six against New York, Seattle’s win% went from .43 to .99 on that play.

Yet the damn Seahawks don't make his jersey!

A few reviews on custom made jerseys has me sketched out to make a Chancellor one.

Ugh.

Dude is fun to watch. I haven’t come down from the high and excitement that our safety duo are both in their second years. So much time to grow!

I love our safeties. The future for this team is pretty exciting.

And I’ve loved Browner as of late, he’s had a bigger impact with our defense than I think some people give credit. Receivers aren’t used to lining up against a 6’4 225 pound dude ready to jam them. But E.T. and Chancellor are my favorite Hawks at the moment.

So Red Bryant is worthy of wearing Tez's number?

It is extremely unfortunate that he will most likely not be selected for a pro-bowl. Just because a DE isn’t a pass rusher doesn’t mean he isn’t elite.

Maybe I am missing something

But Red wears Jacob Greens retired number. Because Mr Green is Red’s father in law.

Kelly Jennings #140 corner (.02 wpa)

Clinton McDonald #49 DT (.3 wpa)

Thanks Cincy!

Of course I imagine these metrics are rather sketchy…

But yeah, go hawks!

Confirmation for me that the guys I think are doing well, are in fact doing well

And I really like our DB’s in general, especially the safeties but Browner and Sherman may be fixtures next year. D line stats are affected by rotating guys (not many 3 down lineman getting a lot of snaps) but the linebackers are just OK. Looking at the Offensive positions, aside from Baldwin, it’s pretty slim pickins for the Hawks. Also not surprising. Is is game time yet? Can’t wait.

If Browner cuts down on the penalties,

he could be a really good corner for us. He can get beat by the faster receivers but we have Earl Thomas to counter that. Having good cover corners is always a good thing. Richard Sherman is ranked at 44 on that CB list which is impressive considering he only recently got the starting job… and he’s a rookie.

Overall the defense has potential to be elite in the future. I look forward to a good Seahawk offense to take advantage of what this defense can do. We aren’t there yet but if Marshawn Lynch keeps running like this, we’ll be close.

I love seeing Kam, Clemons, Browner and ET so high on these ranks....

but when the WR ranks has Baldwin with 2 TDs above Megatron with 12 it makes me really question them.

Maybe it’s seeing the future…. because I see Baldwin being one of the best receivers in the league in the not too distant future.
