49ers Vs. Seahawks: Ask Niners Nation

The love/hate relationship (or maybe it's just hate/hate, I'm not sure) between the 49ers and Seahawks picks back up thi Saturday on Christmas Eve. This game has huge implications for both teams. Your Seahawks remain alive in the wild card race and have to win to keep that dream alive. The 49ers are tied with the New Orleans Saints for the number two seed and accompanying first round bye. The 49ers hold the conference record tiebreaker and need to keep winning as I don't expect the Saints to lose the their final two regular season games.

Both teams are coming off solid wins with your Seahawks pounding the Bears and our 49ers handling their business against the Steelers on Monday Night Football. I noticed the front page FanShot regarding the Seahawks' current weighted DVOA and it does reflect your strong 5-1 run in recent weeks. This is no gimme game for either team and I know 49ers fans are often worried about having to head into the Seahawks stadium (whatever it's called now).

Speaking of which, I'll actually be at the game on Saturday. I'm up in Washington for Christmas and scored some tickets for the game. I went to last year's season opener, so needless to say I'm hoping for a slightly better outcome this year. I'll post a FanShot at Niners Nation so folks can come over and enjoy some holiday football chatter.
