Do we have a rival in the NFC west? I mean REALLY have a rival? I had a few of question I had hoped someone would answer for me.
1. If the other teams in our division were better than they are now would the Seahawks be a better team in the sense that we would have better competition more readily available to hone the teams skills and better themsleves for it?
2. Can we really hate anyone in our division as bad as all the teams are? I find myself rooting for the Rams, 49ers and Cardinals when they arent playing against the Hawks in hopes the division doesnt have to suffer bad media coverage or always get the "underdog" story during games. Don't get me wrong I love a true underdog story but once I would like to hear the commentators say something like "do the Chargers even stand a chance against this heavy hitting Seattle Defense?" or "Can the Steelers keep up with this explosive Seahawk offense?".
3. If we had a tougher division would we be like the Panthers and falter under the pressure that is this NFC West? Or would we grab the bull by the horns and learn from mistakes and overcome?
4. Can any one team in our division be great enough that I can sweat the upcoming game? Will the Rams take advantage of high draft picks and take the division? Will the 49ers overcome mistakes and let-downs and be the team they were supposed to be? Will the Cardinals quit being the Cardinals?
If this sounds like a slam on the divison, I apologize but I just truly want the Hawks to have all the advantages and opportunites to prove themselves and push their limits to near breaking point and compete the way other teams in the league do. Thank you for taking the time to read my post, I would very much like to hear your opinions.
