Pete Carroll: Tarvaris Jackson is the Seahawks starter until others can learn the offense.
It's his job to lose

Eh, makes sense.
Jackson probably knows Bevell’s offense the best out of anyone at this point.
Especially with so little time to prepare for the season
Apparently Pete Carroll doesn’t like how Charlie Whitehurst holds a clipboard

very true
Still I don’t think I’ve heard Carroll make such a bold statement.
Can't wait for the 2011 season to kick in.

Charlie must be getting used to being slapped in the face like this
But it’s worth remembering no one is ever given a starting job on our roster. Always compete

There is always a number one QB in camp because he plays with the first team
That doesn’t mean Pete is denying Charlie a fair shot at the starting spot. It’s a long shot tho

Sounds like a kick in the nuts to Charlie.
For all the competition talk, Pete rarely makes moves at the QB spot.
70% of space is covered by dark matter, the rest by ET.
Forever a backup
It will be tough to beat out Tarvaris. Pure skill wise TJ will look better in camp. He also knows the offense.
Can somebody explain
How the guy who has been with the team for a year is the one who needs to “get up to speed” on the offense? Seriously, I don’t understand.
Losing is for losers.
