The above link is a wonderful article on the SBN Raiders blog about the shooting at Candlestick Park last night. I bring this here to serve as a cautionary tale about taking football too seriously. It's a game, we're supposed to have fun. You're not "representing X Nation", you're cheering for a logo on a T-shirt. Perspective is everything. For everyone attending the CLink this year, fans of opposing teams are guests in our house. They likely spent a lot more money and time to watch that game than you did; give them the respect they deserve. There is absolutely no reason or excuse for a rivalry to devolve into physical violence. My bottom line is, as always, this: chill the fuck out. Have fun at the games.
