I would like this
I see no reason to bring back Washington next year
My only rooting interest in this game is how annoying the Cardinals were last time we met them.
Aside from that my apathy levels are through the roof :(
I want to see Kam Chancellor destroy their whole team with clean blocks.
Earn that fine!

How much would Flynn be asking in FA?
He’d look good in Seahawks lime green.
There will be a bidding war
and whoever gets him will likely overpay.

400+ yards, 5 TD, 1 INT
Could he be the answer for the Hawks?
Could be
I’ll look over the game again this off-season. He didn’t impress earlier but steadily improved. But there’s a lot of ease in context here, good weapons, bad opposing defense.

I was really impressed with him in his first preseason game way back.
I thought he had a lot of potential. Obviously, it was preseason, but it looked like he was doing things you didn’t usually see rookies do.

Obo was running fast but I wouldn’t say he couldn’t go any faster. You can’t really expect TJ to throw much better than that pass. You need your WRs to reel those in.
by Greetings from the Lord Humongous! on Jan 1, 2012 1:34 PM PST up reply actions
Yes, you can.
Two feet shorter would have been a LOT better. I’m not saying it wasn’t a really, really difficult throw, but to expect any WR to make that catch with regularity isn’t fair.
Obu has had some drop issues, though.
Has it really gotten to the point where we're criticizing T-jack because his 60 yard bomb was a couple feet too far?

No.

Mind giving a quick analysis/grade to how Flynn looked?
I should go back and watch, I missed most of the second half
And he didn’t look all that good in the first, a lot of yardage came after the catch. He basically looked like a less mobile Aaron Rodgers playing in slow motion. Few plays I saw in the second half looked much better, but his release is a little slow. Allowed by Detroit D.

I think he’s way underutilized. He was way better in the older offenses, like that of Bates’.
He bulked up this year
became better in pass blocking but lost A LOT of his quickness
He fit in the quick ZBS we started to build.
This power blocking ZBS scheme doesn’t quite fit him the same, because we still suck somewhat at it. When the line is better at executing, and keeping the 1st level cleaner, and/or Seattle has a passing game that keeps the box from being loaded up, I think he’ll start looking like a little stud again. He’s good at breaking through the occasional arm tackle, but not busting through swarms of defenders. For that, you need a beast.

We should hire Norv Turner if he gets fired at San Diego.

As OC? Hmm.
I want to say that’s a terrible idea, but maybe not.

An we get a decent QB coach!
Winning!

I'm laughing at the possibility of AJ Smith going to the Rams.

3 OCs in 3 years doesn't sound ideal

Yeah, so let's go with what doesn't work.
Makes sense.
Exactly!

It only took 5 or 6 OC's before the Niners found a guy that worked

Yeah, the key is to not fuck up in the first place.
And by your reasoning, we should have kept Bates, so I guess we agree!
I didn't think Bates was a problem
but I don’t get to make the decisions.

It's not like it's jerking around a young QB
looks like each OC will bring a new QB
I'm sure he only considers it if he gets to be reunited with Cholly

No way Forsett is retained. When does Deon Butler become a FA? I can see us letting him walk as well.
by StealthHawk on Jan 1, 2012 2:37 PM PST via mobile reply actions
Butler's a FA in 2013
Unrestricted.
I’m not a fan, wouldn’t be surprised if he’s cut.

Why would you make that determination on such little playing time. Just came off a huge injury.
He needs more time to show what he can do. He should be the deep target the remainder of this game.
I could see not liking his skill set

I kinda thought we were in trouble when Pete was raving about how well they practiced all week.
I love the guy but things usually are the exact opposite of what he claims them to be. If he was to come out and say " T Jack is horrible and must be replaced" he would probably turn into a pro-bowl QB overnight
NICE!
We’ll have the ball with around 50+ seconds a a timeout. Time for Tjack to work some magic…

I'm pretty sure I'm the only one w/ a #6 Whitehurst jersey...
I wore #24 Lynch for the game today, seriously thinking of switching to #6 before halftime is over as my show of protest…
I don't know what your problem is, but I bet it's really hard to pronounce!

This is not a very good for morale kind of game to end the season.
Which is good. No warm and fuzzy feelings going into the offseason.
