11th pick in the draft
trumps us winning this game. I’ve seen enough from this team to be excited about next year, regardless if we win this game or not.
Agreed on second sentence.
11th is worst we can do if we lose?

Never underestimate installing winning ways for a young team..
Especially against a division rival.
Confuscius say- "Baseball wrong. Man with four balls cannot walk."
by Outside Contain on Jan 1, 2012 2:50 PM PST up reply actions
I agree with you on that
But you could say the same on the difference between the 11th pick in the draft, and potentially the 19th (depending on what pans out). With our need for a QB, the 11th pick would be a solid place for a team to trade up.
Really?
Exhibit A: Seahawks 2nd half of the seasons
Exhibit B: 2011 Buccaneers
"winning ways" is meaningless though
I’m sure we can find a better explanation for your two exhibits.
Whatever, we have all season for these debates.
I don't know if an entire off season
Could come up with a satisfying explanation to the exhibits, if that’s how deep we’re getting into. Shit’s too complex, especially with a raging hang over on New Years Day.
Why do you close the comments on the first thread as soon as you start another?

Right...
There should be a large enough sample that a little noise (i.e. Brent Cellek receiving passes from VY for a game) shouldn’t matter too much.
I agree that we shouldn’t place too much faith in DVOA; nonetheless, it points to the seahawks as an average to above-average team at defending the TE. Traditional stats also point to this.
If you give the QB more than 5 seconds to throw the ball, he'll find an open TE.
It all falls back to the pass rush (or lack thereof).
