NFL Week 17 Rewind | National Football Post
Let’s take a quick look back at the Week 17 NFL schedule. My game notes from Sunday as we close out the 2011 regular season and look ahead to the playoffs. Here are ten things to you should be talking about today...

NFL.com Blogs " Blog Archive 2012 NFL Draft order pick Nos. 1 to 20 "
With Week 17 in the books, we know what the 2012 NFL Draft order through pick No. 20 will be. Here is what it looks like:

NFL.com news: Father of Griffin III says son likely to meet with agents
The father of Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III has implied that his son is going to apply for entry into the 2012 NFL draft. "I met with my son (Friday) and his schedule is pretty much he will attend the Sugar Bowl here in New Orleans, then next weekend he will meet with five agents and select the right agent to represent him and plan a good pre-draft process," Robert Griffin II told ESPN on Saturday. "After that he will sit down with three of his coaches at Baylor on Wednesday or Thursday (Jan. 11 or 12) and make it official."

Seattle Seahawks Blog - Hawk Blogger: Seahawks Key Stat: Time Of Possession
Time of possession was once the chic stat to talk about in a football era now long gone. The last few decades have emphasized it less as the NFL has become more of a fast-break offensive show that emphasizes passing over running. Turnovers also proved to be a more telling factor, and one that could skew time of possession. Scoring a defensive touchdown or getting the ball on the opponent's 20-yard line due to a turnover means your team is winning, but not possessing the ball for very long. Even with those realities, Pete Carroll is going retro. He is bringing a brand of football back that makes time of possession far important.

Seahawks optimistic despite OT loss to Cardinals - Seahawks News - MyNorthwest.com
The Seattle Seahawks are 7-9 again after a heartbreaker in the desert. Last year, that record was good enough to win the weak NFC West. This year, it just means the season is over.

Fitzgerald, Cardinals beat Seattle 23-20 in OT - Seahawks News - MyNorthwest.com
What a fitting way for the Arizona Cardinals to finish their season. They win, in overtime of course, with Larry Fitzgerald's spectacular plays making the difference.

Final: Cardinals 23, Seahawks 20 | Seahawks Insider
Nothing like some bonus football, as the Seahawks extended their season with an overtime 23-20 loss to the Cardinals. The Seahawks definitely had their chances, but remember the Cardinals were just as hot as the Seahawks coming into the game. No playoffs for this season, but lots of growth was made in the second half of the year. While Eric’s down getting his interviews, here are few subjects to ponder:

Carroll says Hawks better, even though record doesn’t show it | Seahawks Insider
Arizona’s Larry Fitzgerald was the best player on the field today, and he just took over the game in overtime. Fitzgerald had two catches for 38 yards in the final drive, including a diving, one-handed catch over the middle that put the Cardinals in field goal range at Seattle’s 24-yard line.

Jerry Brewer | For Seahawks, Huskies and Mariners, time to grow up in 2012 | Seattle Times Newspaper
Since the Great Collapse of Seattle sports in 2008, when every team went awry and the Sonics went away, the word rebuilding has been used roughly 14,728,939 times.

The Brewery | Instant Replay: A brief sketch of the Seahawks' loss to Arizona | Seattle Times Newspaper
Why the Cardinals won: Arizona (8-8) controlled the first half and took a 10-3 lead into the break. The Cardinals led 20-10 entering the fourth quarter before the Seahawks rallied and forced overtime. Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, as usual, was an unstoppable beast.

Seahawks Blog | Game in Review: Cardinals 23, Seahawks 20 (OT) | Seattle Times Newspaper
Players of the game Arizona receiver Larry Fitzgerald caught nine passes for 149 yards, the most by any player against Seattle this season. Fitzgerald caught two passes in the fourth quarter and three in overtime. Cardinals rookie cornerback Patrick Peterson blocked his second field-goal attempt of the season and returned a punt 42 yards in the second quarter, setting a new NFL record for punt-return yardage by a rookie.

Looking to the future
The Seahawks battled until the bitter end in Sunday’s 23-20 overtime loss to the Cardinals, but they can see a brighter future because of players like rookie wide receiver Richard Lockette.

Thoughts on the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals following their Week 17 game Sunday at University of Phoenix Stadium, a 23-20 victory for the Cardinals:

Seahawks will pick 11th or 12th in the draft " Seahawks Draft Blog
After a 23-20 defeat to Arizona today, the Seahawks will pick 11th or 12th overall in the 2012 NFL Draft. They will hold a coin toss with Kansas City, who beat Denver 7-3.

Report: Spagnuolo, Devaney are out - NFC West Blog - ESPN

I wonder if RG3 is bummed that his dad spilled the beans.

Or if it’s just crazy to think he wouldn’t declare, so it doesn’t matter.
