Undercover cops will be donning Giants gear for the NFC Championship
Good on the 49'ers front office and the San Francisco police for doing this.
As someone who regularly goes to Seahawks road games, this is an issue dear to my heart. Football is a game, and some people take it entirely too seriously, and combined with swilling beer at games, can be real jerks. Actually, "jerks" is an incredibly mild term for how I feel about people who jeer, curse, scream, and throw things at opposing fans.
I live on the east coast, and I would like to enjoy Seahawks road games with my wife and daughter. I should be able to do so (while proudly wearing my Seattle colors) without having to worry about being attacked or accosted. Going to a game should be a family-friendly event, and the NFL would do well to remember that a lot of revenue goes out the window when you let a few bad apples ruin the experience for a lot of others.

I'm all for friendly teasing and booing,
physical contact is way to far though.
Do or do not, there is no try-Yoda
Or flying beer contact..
happend to me at a Mariners fan (I’am a Yankees fan who happens to have a Rodriguez 13 jersey) and got a beer thrown at me around mothers day 2007(my 18th bday)
Yankees fans in Arod jerseys....ugh?
You got off easy.

I went to Arrowhead twice when the Hawks came there in 2005 and 2006
Man, they got me good. We won the 2005 preseason meeting, but the 2006 game where Wallace nearly led us to a win (the game where Branch stripped Allen after Allen’s INT), man, I got hit so many times.
Plastic beer bottles, candy, and some other crap that I didnt even know why was brought to a stadium. In the parking lot, I get back to our truck and our side-mirrors are smashed and my 3 foot Hawk sticker on the back windshield has “Sucks Dick” written in sharpie on it.

Went to the season opener in Buffalo a couple years back.
I saw a lot of anti-hawks gear made, which was impressive. The fans really tore into me (I was getting hammered and in the endzone section) but taking it in stride and smiling back is a pretty good way to avoid it getting nasty. Noone ever threw anything at me and laid off after about the second quarter (we were getting smashed by the Bills).
All in all, good experience in Buffalo, they’re good people.

Why get Matt Flynn?

Flew back home to Denver last year for my B-Day.
Unfortunately the Hawks couldn’t come through, but the Donkey fans were alright. Some good natured trash talk, increasingly so through out the day, but nothing out of line.
We had just cashed in our stolen Denver draft pick on Earl Thomas, so that helped quite some traps I’m sure, at least pre-game.
Also, that I was proudly and unabashedly repping the 12th man and yelling at the top of my lungs right up to the final whistle, even though the game was out of reach, I think earned me some respect in my section too.
The only real sore spot was the seat vendors conveniently looking past me trying to order. Already hungover I just wanted a water or lemonade for my throat. I just took it as they were trying to silence a Twelve and just got louder.
