My Friend has a Friend who works for Nike...
I was in class this morning with a buddy of mine and naturally the subject of football comes up considering I'm a big fan and he is a high school coach. Superbowl, yadda yadda, Manning brothers, yadda yadda, Seahawks. Yes! More importantly, Seahawks uniforms. My friend knows a guy who works for Nike. No, he was not able to get confirmation on uniform feathers or any specific information as to what they are really going to look like.
"But Broski!" You exclaim. "Why are you wasting our time with this fanpost?" Well, the good news is we may not have to wait very long before we find out what they look like. My friend has been told by the Nike employee that a leak has been planned for sometime after the Super Bowl. He wasn't given a specific timetable for when it would occur. He is under the impression that it would possibly be a few days after we find out who the champion is to give the media enough time to do their analysis of the game and how it went down. As he said "Wrap up this year and" (insert airplane taking off gesture here) "whoosh, right into next year."
I dunno about you guys, but I am ready to whoosh!

I'm not so sure of that
The first link mentions April, potentially a draft coming out party, but also mentions that teams have been instructed to not unveil any details until after the Super Bowl.
The second link says Reebok is still technically under contract until April.
Just based upon that I would think that we might start hearing concrete details about the new gear, but won’t actually see the official stuff until April.
A party indicates it being unveiled by the NFL.
And yes teams have been instructed not to release details.
NFL and NFL teams don’t have much control over what gets “leaked” by Nike. Would Reebok make a fuss about folks seeing the Nike jerseys? Would they sue Nike? Who knows. I’m pretty sure they would have to prove to a judge that they suffered pretty severe financial damage in the loss of business because people started to wait for the Nike jerseys. I imagine they would have a hard time of doing that considering jersey sales are probably pretty low at this point in time…
Eternally looking forward to someone making a Seahawks song based off of Lil' Jon's "Shots" song named "Hawks!"
I hope they're leaking them with the intention of getting feedback.
As in hey, “Nike: fuck you”. And then they re-do them and say the leaked ones are “fan art”.
And if the jerseys have feathers, I’m fire bombing the team store.

In my opinion, there is no way that we are going to have the same kind of feathers as Oregon.
But it wouldn’t surprise me to see some swept back feathers/wing type things on the top of the shoulders.
And your suggestion of doing that is actually not a bad idea.

Like Bioware did with ME3?
Everyone said ‘SHIT STORYLINE MAN’ and so they said ‘ok we’ll change it’

Has anyone seen the new cleats yet? That's definitely a change in color.
Or are my eyes deceiving me? Either way… I like…

That's definitely a different green and blue, at least to me. Looks really clean.
These might turn out pretty bad ass.

Theyr'e the same color. The green on the new nike cleats in an actual game photo (not product mark up)
The green on the new Nike cleats in an actual game photo (not product mark up) He’s not wearing the new Nike gloves, he’s wearing a pair of vapor jets like the ones I won from the Bears game. Held them up to the lime color around the collar of a replica jersey and it’s very very very very close to the same shade (so close I’d just call it the same)
The blue is also very close to the standard blue use. People need to chill.

The colors remind me a lot of the Sounders.
Just the shade of green and blue combo

Will all players be wearing these next year?
Well, not all, but is this part of the new official kit?
Yeah, lighting, white balance, and reflective materials do funny things with colors.

I’m excited for a possible change to the Uni’s. On a scale of 1 – Awesome I’d rate them at about “A football uniform” right now. (We warned: I rated the neon green jerseys ‘Neato’ using the same scale…)
I dearly hope that isn't the new font
