Jim Harbaugh Vs. Pete Carroll

So i was listening to this podcast on (ESPN http://espn.go.com/espnradio/play?id=7477017), and thought there point's were sort of correct but the difference between the two teams and team health played a huge factor.

Pete might not have played pro football but still played college, and I feel like Pete is a compassionate guy and all this crap about Harbaugh being this touchy feeling amazing person... it just doesn't compute in my mind. By the way these guys might be homers but i love a good debate and/or people agreeing on my point.

in the end, Pete is building, Jim walked into a mansion, it will take some time but I think PC/JS are gonna surpass the greats in seattle.

Thoughts?

Nail. Head. Yeah.

Great football doesn't happen overnight. No, usually it happens in the morning or around midday. Sometimes in the evenings.

I really don't like the comment (not exact transcript) "Why has Harbaugh been an instant success and Pete Carroll hasn't?"

It’s like they haven’t noticed all the top-10 draft positions that SF has had…It’s like they haven’t noticed the full rebuild that PC/JS has been doing.

Long suffering, committed Seahawks/Packers fan

well... that's not correct

Harbaugh didn’t inherit a playoff team. In fact, he inherited a team that hadn’t made the playoffs or even had a winning season in 8 years.

He inherited a talented team that was recovering from too many years of laughably incompetent coaching, but Harbaugh definitely did not inherit a winner. His accomplishment is pretty damn impressive and to me, he’s coach of the year for 2011 easily. And I HATE Jim Harbaugh.

no way he's coach of the year

Has to go to John Fox.

Why get Matt Flynn?

They don't do one per conference?

Jon Fox is equally as legitimate a candidate for this award.

These guys are fucking morons...

Eternally looking forward to someone making a Seahawks song based off of Lil' Jon's "Shots" song named "Hawks!"
