Here. I came across this and thought I may not be the only one interested (Danny and Davis tweeted about it as well).
Soliai's CBS draft profile compared him to Issac Sopoaga, a player I like. In 2007, according to this profile: At 6'4", 344, he ran a 5.10 40 with a 1.63 10 yard split at the combine, and his drills were comparable to Dontari Poe (Soliai didn't bench). He was a 4th round pick after playing two years at Utah after JC. I couldn't find his arm length. This draft profile paints a picture of a young, raw player that "could dominate at the next level or may end up a prospect who never meets expectations if he doesn't crank it up."
This PFF article talks about his "disappointing" 2011 in-depth (after being franchise tagged), and other big time DT's in this free agent class. This may be nothing in the end, but he caught my eye last year as well (when Mebane was a free agent). With the "down" 2011, maybe he is a bit cheaper. Apparently he is 4-3/3-4 versatile. He hasn't compiled numbers, but attracts blockers. Where does he fit here? Is this a contingency to Red Bryant, or part of a potential re-model on the defensive line/front seven? The rumor hints it could be part of something. We know Seattle sees players differently sometimes...Thoughts, anyone know about his time with the Dolphins, how he was as a worker and inside the locker room? Thoughts on if Seattle is/is not the "wildcard" of the offseason?
