Cowboys and Redskins were just castrated by the NFL
Cowboys lose $10 million in cap space, Redskins lose $36 million in space. Can split it over 2012 and 2013 any way they want. More at ESPN.

Forced to forfeit $10M and $36M in cap space, spread over 2012 and 2013 as they want, for abusing the cap-free year to front-load contracts. I am both amused and shocked at the amount. Mostly amused. This cap money is spread to every other team in the NFL except the Saints and Raiders, a fairly paltry $1.6M (over two years, I assume).
