So just the other day we had probably one of the bigger announcements for the Seahawks this off season. We have wrapped up our core group of players, and made a move for somebody with a large upside at D-Line. And to top it off we have found our quarterback for the near, hopefully long term.
We went with a QB that has been sitting behind on of the most productive and reliable quarterbacks around. Ideally we would want someone that has had a chance to learn the ropes of the NFL and could come in from day one and put up immediate competition for one of the most valuable spots on the team. For us, Matt Flynn, and PC/JS I hope this really works out.
My question to you is this... Say you are Pete Carrol, going into your third year as a Head Coach of an NFL team, and have a simlar record to Pete Carrol now, who would you want behind center? Someone in the mold of Matt Flynn, who who already knows the ropes of the NFL, or someone that would be drafted to your style like Kirk Cousins, Nick Foles, or even Ryan Tannehill who may take a bit of time to progress to an NFL starting caliber quarterback? I look forward to your response!
