Also, the Seahawks have signed 27-year old running back Kregg Lumpkin. Lumpkin, 5'11, 228, is a former UDFA out of Georgia that was signed by John Schneider's Packers in 2008. He stuck with them on the IR and practice squad until 2010, where he signed with the Buccaneers. Originally a highly recruited tailback - 2nd only to Reggie Bush in 2003, his college performance suffered due to injuries his sophomore and senior season and he subsequently went undrafted.
In his NFL career, he has 33 rushing attempts for 124 yards and 45 catches for 325 yards. Per Thomas' fanpost, the scouting report on Lumpkin isn't great. Buc Nation's Sander shorthand scouting report on him: Big guy, no lateral agility. Shitty running back. Mediocre pass blocker, poor receiver.
We'll see what this signing amounts to - whether he's a camp body or the Seahawks have a real plan for him - in the backfield or in special teams - remains to be seen, but it's one more guy to keep an eye on in training camp.
