NFL - The top offensive scheme fits for Peyton Manning - ESPN
Seattle Seahawks Seattle is interesting because a year ago they were very active in free agency adding several pieces of their puzzle -- with the exception of quarterback. The supporting cast certainly isn't perfect, but there are pieces in place for the Seahawks. And Manning would make all of those respective pieces even stronger, especially considering that much of Seattle's talent is young. With a power ground game, an improving offensive line and some young receiving weapons to work with, Manning might be able to accomplish quite a bit with this offense. If Seattle signs Manning, they could definitely make a run. If taking a chance on Manning fails for Seattle, there isn't another franchise QB on the roster, but Tarvaris Jackson is at least serviceable.
QB Russell Wilson: Undersized-Underrated | The Rookie Scouting Portfolio
One of the bigger questions about Wisconsin QB Russell Wilson will be his height. Measured at 5107, 204 lbs., Wilson will be one of the smaller quarterbacks in the NFL. Journeyman Doug Flutie was a legit 5’9″, fellow journeyman Jeff Blake might have been 6’0″. The common knock on quarterbacks under 6’2″ is that they will have difficulty playing from the pocket because they won’t be able to see over the line of scrimmage and they’ll have a higher rate of deflected passes.

NFL - The Washington Redskins have the cap room to sign Peyton Manning - ESPN
2. Seattle Seahawks: The Seahawks entered the week with $36.025 million of room, then signed running back Marshawn Lynch to a four-year, $31 million contract. Signing Manning wouldn't be a problem. Because of their cap room, the Seahawks are candidates to go after the most expensive defender in free agency, Texans defensive end Mario Williams, but they could switch priorities and upgrade the quarterback position. They currently have Tarvaris Jackson at quarterback. Upgrading to Manning wouldn't challenge their cap.
