I am new to following the Seahawks, but not new to being a Seahawks fan. One thing that I am not completely sold on is that Sidney Rice is going to be our #1 receiver in the 2012 season. A few of the community member's have enlightened me about Rice's Amazing ability to "get over the top of the defense" and draw attention away from our other receivers.Other members have pointed out that prior to Rice's concussions, he was on track to be the same Sidney Rice he was in 2009, and that he had the ability to push through other injuries just to stay on the field and be a team player.

My question is, was he worth a 41 million dollar contract with 18.5 Mil Guaranteed? Will he be able to recover from having both shoulders having had surgeries? Does it matter what QB is throwing to him or can this man make plays with or without an elite QB. Will this gamble pay off or will he be cut prior to the 2013 season. I know none of us can see into the future but I would like to get some feedback from the community on your thoughts on our Pro receiver.
