Feeling Terrible After A Seahawks Win?

Stay connected for news and updates

I was really excited about this Monday Night Football game against the Packers. I had been listening to sports radio all day and had gotten my hopes up. I haven't gotten my hopes up for the Seahawks since SuperBowl XL. I was finally feeling it, and was "psyched" going into tonight's game. Fast forward four hours and all of a sudden I feel wrong inside, what happened?

Tate didn't catch that ball, not even the biggest homer on the planet argues that he caught that ball. Jennings clearly had possession all the way down to the ground and had the ball. Tate maybe had an arm around it, but nothing near the possession that Jennings did.

I have friends all over the country and I was apologizing, sincerely, to each of my Packer friends after tonight's game. It just feels wrong. I want the Seahawks to win, but I want to win the right way. Winning because of a terrible call feels horrible. For Packer fans, Seahawks fans (who may be conveniently forgetting the other egregious penalties this evening), and fans of every NFL team out there; I really hope that this is the impetus to bring back the veteran referees.

I would never wish for another fan to feel like I do right now, except maybe Steelers fans. They may be used to it.
