DraftWatch: (Week) Number Three

Well, this was an easy week for the TMBG reference.

I'm just going to post the draft rankings, and then make my comments about the aftermath of last night's game afterward.

1. Browns (0-3, 24-24 SOS)

2. Saints (0-3, 25-23 SOS)

3. Chiefs (1-2, 20-28 SOS)

4. Raiders (1-2, 21-27 SOS)

5. Broncos (1-2, 22-26 SOS)

6. Colts (1-2, 23-25 SOS, 0-1 Div.)

7. Steelers (1-2, 23-25 SOS, 0-0 Div.)

8. Buccaneers (1-2, 23-25 SOS, 1-0 Div.)

9. Panthers (1-2, 24-24 SOS)

10. Dolphins (1-2, 25-23 SOS, 0-1 SOS)

T11. Rams via Redskins (1-2, 25-23 SOS, 0-0 Div.)

T11. Jaguars (1-2, 25-23 SOS, 1-1 Div.)

T11. Titans (1-2, 25-23 SOS, 0-0 Div.)

14. Packers (1-2, 26-22 SOS)

15. Patriots (1-2, 27-21 SOS)

16. Rams (1-2, 28-20 SOS)

17. Lions (1-2, 29-19 SOS)

18. Chargers (2-1, 19-29 SOS)

19. Bengals (2-1, 21-27 SOS)

20. Ravens (2-1, 22-26 SOS)

21. Giants (2-1, 23-25 SOS)

T22. Eagles (2-1, 24-24 SOS, 0-0 Div.)

T22. Vikings (2-1, 24-24 SOS, 0-0 Div.)

24. Cowboys (2-1, 24-24 SOS, 1-0 Div.)

T25. Bills (2-1, 25-23 SOS, 0-1 Div.)

T25. Bears (2-1, 25-23 SOS, 0-1 Div.)

27. Jets (2-1, 25-23 SOS)

28. 49ers (2-1, 26-22 SOS)

29. Seahawks (2-1, 27-21 SOS)

30. Falcons (3-0, 20-28 SOS)

31. Texans (3-0, 21-27 SOS)

32. Cardinals (3-0, 27-21 SOS)

(Strength of Schedule is the total combined record of all 16 opponents on a team's schedule; divisional opponents are counted twice. If SOS is tied, divisional record breaks the tie, followed by a coinflip. Rams acquired the Redskins 1st-round pick in a trade for the Rams' 2012 first-rounder.)

The NFC West continues to be the strongest division in the league, boasting an 8-4 combined record and is the only division with three teams with an over-.500 record.

I apologize if I don't have much insight to provide this time around; the MNF game left a very bad taste in my mouth. I'll continue the column out of respect for those who read and enjoy it, but right now I'm not sure I want to watch another NFL game until the original referees return. The games were already getting borderline unwatchable, what with all the ticky-tack calls adding half an hour or more to the time necessary for the game to play out, and seemingly having at least one play in each game being absolutely wrong. In the wake of the Monday Night game, the credibility of the league is starting to come into question, and if this sort of thing is what we can look forward to in the near future, I can find other things to do on Sunday and then use the scoreboards to catch up. I'm still rooting for the Seahawks, mind you, but I'm not going to subject myself to another debacle like what we saw at the CLink last night.

See y'all next week.
