Willlll---- sonn!!!!

I have not seen much about this on Field Gulls, so I wanted to share. This is classic much-ado-about-nothing but for Phish fans like me, it's lots of fun. Last spring Trey Anastasio of the band Phish explained at a concert in Seattle that when he watched Russell Wilson take the field, he imagined the crowd singing the Wilson chant from the Phish song 'Wilson' .

In response, my buddy had a Russell Wilson jersey t-shirt customized with the text 'duh-dunt, duh-dunt' in reference to the Wilson chant and his wife managed to get Trey's attention at the July 26th Gorge Phish concert. When Trey saw the shirt, he motioned to her and she threw it on stage. Trey put it on while on stage and wore it for the rest of the show.

Fast forward to this fall and the Seahawks responded to Trey's request and started prompting the crowd to do the chant at CLink starting in the preseason. NFL films is making a short film on this silliness and will be filming at the game tonight.

So, love or hate phish, it's just good fun and hopefully more fun for you now that you know that back story.

Or as the song says "Can you still have fun!?"

Also, coincidentally today is Phish's 30th Anniversary. Congratulations Phish!
