Seahawks and cars

I wanted to share a story about my car restoration, check it out here.

I have recently finished restoring a 1964 Pontiac GTO. Over the course of the football season, I needed to make a final decision on the paint scheme. I'd been contemplating two toning the car and doing a custom scheme. I only needed to pick the colors. It dawned on me, I'd always wanted a blue car and I was struggling to come up with a decision. Then it hit me, why not the new team colors, all of which I love.

After thinking it over, I took a new jersey to the paint shop and we color matched the car's paint to the jersey. We then added a little pearl to the blue and metal flake to the grey. We decided to use the green as a subtle accent stripe to finish it off. What we ended up with, is in my opinion, a most tastefully themed Seahawks muscle car. We just completed the build last month, with what little time I've had it out, it's been a real conversation starter and the Hawks theme really resonates with the 12th man.

The gentleman who worked on the restore of the car for me is another 12th Man season ticket holder, Rick Stark. Rick also built the old Seahawks helmet/golf cart used in the old stadium. The paint and body shop is also family run and full of 12th Man fans. It's been a real labor of 12th Man love.

I'll be doing little touches to it, to tastefully add to the 12th Man theme. I'm thinking window flags and a 12th Man banner on the inside of the trunk lid, that is hard enough to have people sign. More ideas welcome!
