Okay, so we know this will hurt the team in the first four weeks and that it's never good when a player is doing PED's, but I think we're forgetting a few aspects to this equation and what's happening here in the big picture. And all this crap about "Pete needs to put his foot down" and "The Seahawks will have an asterix on this season" if they win the Super Bowl... Really? As a fan, as a homer are you going to care whether ESPN has an asterisk on this year for us? I don't care what they think.
So the Seahawks have more PED violation then most teams? We are also the youngest, most competitive team that values athleticism and competition above all else. I don't take these recent events as a sign that Pete is doing something wrong or that they have a problem in their locker room. I take it as a sign of the kind of team we have chosen to build and we need to take the bad with the good.
Also I cannot say that I'm not happy that some cold water is being splashed on our off-season championship. It's going to be tough. It's going to be crap like this all season, dealing with adversity and doubts. Nobody wins the Super Bowl in the off-season or by building the greatest team on paper. So get over it and get ready for the season and get ready for this team to do some great things!
