I was listening to Cold Hard Facts with John Clayton yesterday afternoon, and if our schedule was paint, then he used it to paint a pretty gloomy picture. Here's a link to the conversation--schedule gloom beginning at 3:01--
I just want to know why. Why does the NFL create unbalanced schedules? Why even give fans this bait to complain with? Maybe the scheduling means nothing. Or maybe it means the difference between wild card and home field advantage in the playoffs. Super Bowl and no Super Bowl.
Obviously a conversation won't change the schedule, but perhaps it will give me closure to at least try to understand why the NFL schedules the way it does. Does anyone have any insight?
