Rushing the QB was on the top of the priority list going into the off-season. Bringing Avril and Bennet made everybody smile. Having Irivin suspended and doubts about Clem's return got the smile off most faces.

I think we'll have a great pass rush this year in spite of those setbacks. Why ? - All for one and one for all.

I am not going to say something smart or insightful here. Just put the most basic things in a frame.

"One for all" has been the issue that we have been bothered with. One of the guys on the D-line(plus blitzers) has to get to the QB. Just one - and all of them would have done their collective job. There is no way for the best O-line to keep all of them away from the QB for long, one will get there EVENTUALLY.

Yes, i know eventually isn't good enough. By the time he gets there the ball would have been passed already. He needs to get there faster then that. How fast ? hmmm....this is a good question that has to do with "All for one".

"All for one" is actually what we do best in the league. All for one is the secondary. All of them need to do their jobs perfectly. If just one of them missed and leaves a receiver open - all of them failed in their task. Yes, given enough time a reciever will always get open but the longer it takes him to get open - the longer "one for all" has to get to the QB.

I think "One for all" will be better at it this year. I think Bennet and Avril will help a lot, I think that Hill could be valuable, I believe that once Irvin and Clem are back - they will be incredible at it. As much as i believe that they will do a lot better - I KNOW that the secondary will be even better then last year. With the young legion maturing, With Winfield in and with a healthy Thurmond i know they will be downright scary. A scared QB takes longer to pass and the longer it takes the closer we get to eventually reaching the QB.

I also know that the offense should do better. They will put points on the board. They will force teams to play against the scoreboard - i.e. passing more. The more they will attempt to pass - the more opportunities to sack... number for the year is 50 sacks. All for one and one for all.

Go Hawks.
