Pete said NO...I say YES....

When Pete was asked if we'll be passing the ball this year he answered NO. He was mistaken.

Ok, he didn't lie, he was answering a different question. Will the Seahawks change their game plan to be more of a passing team ? Pete said NO and that's the truth.

Other then the obvious basic design of this team to be a ZBS running team and build the rest on that there is the small issue of last year's stats.

Games were Wilson passed the most (excluding overtime):

At Arizona – 34 passes.

At Detriot – 35 passes.

At Atlanta – 36 Passes.

Games were Wilson passed the least:

Home vs. Arizona – 13 passes.

Home vs. Jets – 19 passes.

Home vs. STL – 19 passes.

Home vs. DAL – 20 passes.

Home vs. Gren bay – 21 passes.

Home vs. SF – 21 passes.

I don’t know about you guys but that makes for a pretty compelling stat.

So, will PC change the game plan to pass more – NO WAY. Will we pass more in 2013 – yes we will!!!

We will pass more and we will run more this year.

We are a better team on offense and that means a few more first downs per game. Those will add a few more running plays and a few more passing plays. It will also mean a slightly higher completion percentage hence more passing yards.

We are a better team on defense and that means a few less first downs per games and more time for the offense above to work their magic.

And maybe, just maybe, with all the new talent etc. we'll have a more balanced game plan. Last year we ran 536 times and passed 405 times. How about a 500/441 R/P this year? Or god forbids 471/470 ratio?

Summery: We'll still come out running. We'll be a run first team and proud of it. The passing game will be a close second, closer then 2012. We'll have more snaps this year, we'll pass more times, have more yards passing, win more games (1 or 2) and play football in February(more running plays then passing plays especiaslly in the 4th quarter).

I can live with that.
