Here I am at work, going through some general NFL articles and I stumble on this article - splashed across the ESPN Homepage. The article was written by Jeffri Chadiha, "Senior Writer". In it he goes on to talk about how motivated Eddie Lacy is because of Katrina and the havoc it caused in his personal life. I'm not belittling his overcoming tragedy, but I'm also not seeing this so called motivation that Eddie Lacy has. He sat out the pre-draft process and waited his turn in the Alabama backfield. He was never the most talented runner on his team, he rode pine behind Ingram and Richardson, then backed up Richardson, then finally it's his turn - or is it... he split carries last year with a much more talented freshman, TJ Yeldon. Those backs rack up yards behind the best offensive line in college football, last years was one of the best ever. I'm not saying he is terrible, but the writer even talked about his -5 yard outing from Friday and chalked it up to Seattle playing starters. So he played NFL starters, gained -5 yards on 8 carries, now he's a "steal". I see the logic, I'm sure this is the way to All-Pro status. This must mean Christine Michael, also drafted in the 2nd round is doomed because he went forward... Stupid John Schneider - why didn't you get the fat guy who goes backwards!
