- You, like me, want to watch Seahawks games with other Seahawks fans.
- You, like me, don't have the time/inclination/MetroCard balance to go all the way up to Carlow East on the Upper East Side.
- You, like me, appreciate cheap beer, good bar food with some Southern specialties, and a friendly bartender.
Since you're like me, I suggest you join me (and the one or two other Hawks fans who have been turning up) at 95 South on Franklin Avenue in Brooklyn, between St. John's and Lincoln Place. It's super close to the 2/3/4/5 and Franklin Avenue Shuttle, in the most excruciatingly hip part of Crown Heights.
Seriously, this place is going to be discovered by some out of town fan base or another soon, and I'd rather it be ours. There's plenty of space, it's affordable, and while Sgt. Blue and the other gameday hosts are Giants fans, they've been really friendly to us Seahawks fans as well. They'll even put the sound on for our game (last week they put the Hawks/Jags sound on and muted the Jets game!), unless the Giants are on at the same time - and even then we could probably get sound on in part of the bar.
I swear I have no affiliation with the place, but they could use some more Sunday afternoon business and I could use some more 12's to watch games with. I'll be there this Sunday as usual - I'm the one in the ET shirt. Come say hi!
