Four wins into the season and, if my calculations are correct, we have seen all four type of victories that are possible:
1) The back-and-forth, close-all-game, see-saw-type victory (Panthers)
2) The close-for-a-while, then pull-away-by-large-margins victory (49ers)
3) The never-in-doubt, blowout victory (Jaguars)
4) The fall-behind, look-outclassed, come-from-behind victory (Texans)
(I suppose there's the fall behind by a lot, then win by a lot variety that's also plausible.)
My question to you is: which type of game do you most enjoy watching? I often think that my heart can't take any more of these games that come down to the wire, and yet, man are they memorable. The Jaguars game was boring by comparison, but I was able to drink a whole lot more without worrying that I'd need to have mental faculties left for the end of the game. That was fun.
In other words, for the fan, is it better for your top-tier team to be scrappy and winning, or better to be dominant and winning? Before the season I would have said I want us to be dominant, but damn if it isn't fun to have these indelible memories of thrilling outcomes.
I'll be sure to send the results of the poll to the Hawks so they can be sure to comply with our preference.
