In Defense of Richard Sherman

Greetings Hawks Fans! RaiderPsycho here checking in for the first time on your site. I'm your typical thuggish Psycho trained right here in tough Oakland, or should I say, the Bay Area, such as in Cal Berkeley and Stanford - trained in clinical psychology - real tough guy (pun intended as I am sure you have presumed!). Not meaning to sound pompous but I think you need a little bit of credibility to be believable. Anyway, I wanted to address this issue regarding Sherman whom I deeply admire and respect both as a person and as cornerback (wish we had him!). Hopefully, I can provide you with information so that you can defend his action if others troll you over him because he does not deserve any further abuse. Sherman was a victim of an arrogant narcissist in Crabtree. Crab's arrogant personality is well-known by Oakland fans. When he was drafted No. 10, three picks after Heyward-Bey (DHB), he became so upset because DHB earned more and Crab thought he deserved to be paid more because he is better than DHB. Although it is true that he is a better wide receiver than DHB, he fought the 49er organization and held out from playing for the first part of the 2010 season because he thought he deserved a bigger paycheck than DHB - now is that narcissistic or what? Need more proof? I am aware that at some golf tournament Crab insulted Sherman. I don't know his exact words but Raider fans told me that at that tournament Crab told him something like he was not competent enough of a corner to cover his royal majesty. The Hawks and 49ers have developed a good rivalry particularly of late since both teams have become powerhouses. This means Sherman and Crab meet twice a year. I cannot help to believe that Crab continues to insult Sherman whenever they meet, although that golf tournament was enough to justify Sherman's actions. Narcissists can be insulting and pompous to the extreme and causing a reaction from Sherman is not at all surprising as narcissists are arrogant enough to cause such a reaction from anyone. Recall what Sherman said after the game, that Crab was dealing with "the best." In other words, he was returning a vicious insult in like and kind. I also wonder what else Crab might have been saying to Sherman during the NFC championship game, and although that is speculation on my part, this becomes viable given Crab's well-known personality inclinations. It would not surprise me that Crab might have been pestering Sherman at other times throughout that game (and possibly in other games as well). I felt the pain of embarrassment that Sherman experienced after he did that, and like I said, this is what a narcissistic personality had driven him to do. I felt good that he did that, that he rightfully defended himself. I know it looks bad to do that in front of world wide television, which is why I empathized with his pain. If those 49er fans troll you on this, you at least have a defensive strategy here. One last thing. My understanding is that all of Raider Nation is in support of the Hawks winning the superbowl. I must say that since the Hawks have not won a superbowl yet, it is a bad monkey to get off your backs. Everyone should experience the excitement and pleasure of winning a superbowl so hopefully this will be your oppportunity. Raider fans DO NOT want the Broncs to win. Go Hawks and stomp the Broncs!
