Enemy Reaction 2014: New York Giants

For the first time since week 1, the Seattle Seahawks blew out their opposition. Sure it took until the 4th quarter to accomplish it, but a 21 point win despite a -1 turnover differential and a sputtering passing game isn't too shabby. The Seahawks racked up 350 yards of rushing on the New York Giants, whose defensive coordinator kept smiling to himself as if this was all part of his special "they might get tired from all of that running" gameplan.

There are plenty of screenshots from this game and I even left out a few plays for space reasons (AKA laziness). Giants fans in Enemy Reaction are represented by the fine folks over at Big Blue View. As always, open the image in a new tab and zoom-in for the best view.

Post-Game: Beast Mode

Brutal, ugly, disgusting… someone should get fired style football.

That said, what are you going to do? It’s BEAST MODE, when the guy is on, no one can tackle him. With "no one" specifically being the New York Giants defense, we don’t have the exact statistics but there was something like 985,523 missed tackles in this football game.

For Giants Nation, it will be tough because their team is now 3-6, they’ve been humiliated on prime time TV twice this year and just got shown what it takes to be a champion by the defenders of the Lombardi Trophy, the Seattle Seahawks. - William Watts, GMenHQ

After the only two-game homestand of Seattle's season, a stretch of 3 road games in 4 weeks ensues, and it starts in Kansas City, where it is likely to be snowing this weekend with temperatures in the 20s. Your hopes of the passing game getting back on track may be shot to pieces by Mother Nature already, so it's up to the running game in a climate such as the one projected.

Since divisional realignment, the Seahawks are 2-15 vs. AFC teams in 10 AM PT games. One of those two wins came last year vs. Houston after falling behind 20-3, and the other one was 2005 in Tennessee after falling behind 24-14. Seattle made the Super Bowl in both seasons, so basically if they beat the Chiefs on Sunday, this two-game sample size suggests we're off to Arizona in February. It's a tough task and it should be a great game.
