Before I even talk about the game, I would like to congratulate the 12th man. Congrats to the ones who have waited almost 38 years for this championship. You are the ones who truly deserve this.
WHAT. A. GAME. The Seahawks dominated the best offense in the history of the NFL. The Broncos scored 29.9 points less than their average game. Russell Wilson says it best, "The separation is in the preparation". Lets just say the preparation showed. The first play Peyton Manning and Co. ran was a botched snap for a safety. The Seahawks were up two points in 12 seconds. Coincidence? The first touchdown was at 12:00 in the second quarter. Then Percy Harvin gets the ball and runs it 87 yards for a touchdown. How long did it take for him to score? 12 seconds. Do you see a pattern?
I would like to say congrats to the Denver Broncos for winning the NFC Championship before I say anything offensive. The Broncos weren't prepared for what we were going to bring. Peyton Manning set the record for most completed passes in the Super Bowl, but that was not enough. The Bronco offense scored half as many touchdowns as the Seahawks defense and special teams. Peyton said in a post-game press conference that it is insulting to use the word embarrassing to describe the game, but it was just that. The Seahawks showed their full potential. Every radio and television show is talking about the Broncos, but it wasn't them who scored 43 points.
If you are like me and live in a different state, you went to work or school ready to go all Richard Sherman. Once you arrived, the first person you saw replies, "Worst Super Bowl ever!" and you just smiled ear to ear and walked away. That is all I heard today. I got one person who shouted, "Go Hawks!" as I passed. I'm not sure if they realized that we shut down THE BEST offense in NFL HISTORY!
I don't quite understand why people picked Denver to win. They have one of the best quarterbacks all-time in Peyton Manning. They have some of the best receivers in the NFL. That is all you heard about leading up to the Super Bowl. Why? BECAUSE THAT IS ALL THEY HAVE. They don't have any amazing defenders with Von Miller out. They don't have a flashy running back. They have horrible special teams.
The analysts judged it by the cover. Only once did I hear a person mention Russell Wilson against the Denver D. They looked our guys over, and that is okay. It isn't the first time our pedestrian wide receivers have not been taken into consideration. Did I mention to say that the MVP was a 7th-round pick? Our team is full of outcasts. Our team is young men who are hungry for respect. Richard Sherman is the epitome of that.
