I'm Sorry

First of all, I do have a slight little confession to get off my chest, after the Super Bowl, I was happy that the Seattle Seahawks won their first Super Bowl in their 37-year history but during the game I was really upset.

Yes, I am a Broncos fan, as many of you know, and I tried my best to be a class act during the 2-week lead-up to Super Bowl 48 (I am Italian but Roman numerals confuse me, we with Lombardy-based ancestors have roots closer to Switzerland anyway :), but once adversity hit my Broncos, I was upset.

Nevertheless, I realized it's better for the NFL that the Seahawks won as it shows that parity is alive and well. In other words, my fellow historian and Twitter follower Russell S. Baxter confirmed that since Super Bowl 32, when my Broncos beat the Packers, 7 teams have won their first Super Bowl in the past 17 years, including you guys, so congratulations :)

I write this, for one thing, to show that I have integrity and I don't want anyone to think I'm a hypocrite, I'd rather have someone shoot me in the head than think I'm dishonest.

In other news, I'm sorry for what Seahawks fans have told me on Jon Bois' post about being banned from MHR. Eventually, we have to get over this Super Bowl hangover and there is no shame in losing to someone better than you, as the Seahawks clearly were.

In closing, I'm glad that we're friends, sorry that not everyone wants to be though :( Enjoy your victory!
