Back to Mr. Schien.
Way back in early November the distinguished Adam Schien wrote the following article -
While politely acknowledging that the Seahawks are one of the better teams in the NFL he made the following statements –
The 49ers will not lose any of their games against the likes of Carolina, N.O. and Washington etc., will get to the game against the Seahawks with a 10-2 record and will win the SB.
The Seahawks will loose to Drew Breese and N.O. at home and will likely be the 2nd best team in the NFC west.
It pissed me enough to write the following a few days later after the 9ers game at home against the Panthers –
In his elaborate article yesterday, noted NFL expert Adam Schien has expressed his valued and educated opinions regarding the Seahawks poor play and stated the following – He would be stunned if the 49ers will lose any of the theoretically tough games against Car and at NO. He sees the 49ers winning the super Bowl and he predicts that Drew Breese and the Saints will hand Wilson the fist home loss of his career. Obviously I was in tears after reading the end of our season black on white. The question raised was crystal clear – Are the 49ers the team to beat in the NFC?
I thought I had the answer and as it turns out I was dead right again. Without further delay, the answer is YES. The 49ers are indeed the team to beat in the NFC. If anyone doubts that they are invited to see how happy the Panthers were doing just that yesterday. As for the other questions regarding Schein's notable in depth understanding of the game I feel I am not worthy of providing answers. If he was working for me at my company and proved to be as well informed as that article was he would be looking for a job on Monday.
The year went on, we have won the SB and I almost forgot Mr. Schien.
And then he writes this article –
it ends with – " I think the Seahawks are currently one of the best teams in the NFL. They also might be the second-best team in their division in 2014."
It should go were the sun don't Schien.
Mel Kipper gave us a C for our drafting efforts. I'm just waiting for Skip Bayless to explain how Manning can not be stopped when he has 2 weeks to prepare or that the Redskins should be ranked above the Seahawks.
Some people never learn…
