(Un)Official 2014 Seattle Seahawk Playlist

A couple of years ago I made an "intro" video for the 2010 Seahawks on YouTube, and I was rather proud of it, if I say so myself, considering it was made on the awful (but free) Windows Movie Maker, and I have no experience (or talent, really) for making YouTube video. But it came out alright, so I made some more, and they were all taken down because I used popular songs that violated copyright infringements, or whatever (here's a not-awful one I made on a dummy google account; don't tell Jay-Z or Kanye!). The whole reason why I made those videos was because I would listen to a song and it got me pumped up for Seahawks video, and all these awesome plays would come in my head and I felt almost compelled to share with my fellow 12's....but a potent lack of frustration, laziness and ADHD (and don't forget my lack of experience and talent) led me to stop even trying to make those videos. Also, there are plenty of fellow 12's out there who do the same thing, just a lot better, and I felt the market was saturated. Yeah, that excuse sounds better.

Anyway, I listen to Pandora on my iphone constantly, and very frequently a song will come on that gets those recognizable juices flowing. It then occurred to me that a playlist of songs compiled by not just me but a collection of fellow Seahawk fans would be a lot more fun than trying to splice together video clips....and not to mention a lot less work, to boot. But just listing a bunch of song that I like would not do, because I have realized that music is incredibly subjective, yet many of us have a strong opinion of what accounts for "good" or "bad" music, and there isn't a lot of correlation. I like Kanye West, but a lot of people really hate his music, and most of the reasons boil down to nothing that has to do with the music itself (justified or not).

This is not about whose music is better, and this isn't also not about posting your favorite music, either; this is about getting hyped for the Seattle Seahawks to repeat as Super Bowl champions, damn it! I'm not going to make any rules here, but suggestions. So no sappy love songs, or R&B or kiddie pop. This is about sharing songs that honestly make you think of gridiron dominance when you listen to them. My idea was we all (including myself) post songs in the comments, and we can all rec the ones we like, and maybe in a week or two I'll come back and take all the most rec'd songs and make a Spotify playlist, or something like that. Preferably we'll put [ARTIST]: [SONG TITLE] as the subject, with a link (video or just audio) in the comments, and if you want to include a (brief) reason why you chose it, go ahead; if you're on a mobile you don't have to post a link, but if you could come back later and put a link in a reply (if someone doesn't do it for you first) that would be wonderful.

I think I've said enough. GO HAWKS!!!
