The Seahawks have selected Ryan Murphy, a defensive back from Oregon State, with the 248th overall pick. Murphy played safety at Oregon State, but I wrote that he looked like a Seahawks corner last week.
Murphy fits the arm length and athleticism requirements of a Seattle defensive back, but it's not clear where he'll factor in yet.

My report on earlier this week:
Ryan Murphy played safety at OSU, so it's a projection to put him at outside corner. As someone who watches a lot of Oregon State football, he's excellent at football while also testing as one of the better athletes in the class.
Murphy does not have a draft profile on NFL.com. (cough, FieldGulls.com does)
Here's what Tony Pauline of DraftInsider.net said:
Bio: Three-year starter who finished with 65 tackles as a senior after career-best 74 the prior year, when he also posted 3 interceptions.
Positive: Underrated safety prospect who keeps the action in front of him. Effectively diagnoses plays, remains disciplined with assignments and wraps up tackling. Stays with opposing receivers in zone coverage and shows the ability to get outside the numbers making plays. Takes good angles to the action.
Negative: Struggles lining up over the slot receiver. Not fluid or smooth pedaling then flipping his hips in transition. At times too quick up the field and gets caught out of position. Inefficient, ducks his head and not a stout tackler.
Analysis: Murphy possesses the size and skill necessary to make it at the next level as a ninth defensive back/special teams player.
