The Seattle Seahawks have had to change defensive coordinators twice since 2013, but it could be coming for a third time in four years if the Buffalo Bills have anything to say about it. That’s because the Bills are expected to interview Seahawks DC Kris Richard for their head coaching vacancy, with the talk happening as soon a Sunday, per Adam Schefter.

This is not a surprise, as it was reported earlier in the week that Buffalo was interested and then again on Saturday that the rumors were true. The Seahawks won their wild card game against the Detroit Lions 26-6, with the defense keeping Matthew Stafford and the Lions out of the end zone completely.
Seattle’s defense was not as strong as it was under Dan Quinn from 2013 to 2014, but they were without Earl Thomas, Michael Bennett, and Kam Chancellor for long stretches during the season and it was still great for the most part. Richard has only ever coached under Pete Carroll so when he does make the jump to being a head coach — and I assume he will eventually — it should be interesting.
