Sunday the Seattle Seahawks host the Baltimore Ravens at Century Link field in what will be a return to where everything started for Earl Thomas. However, while Thomas was always among the best when it came to slowing down the opponent’s aerial attack, Sunday he’ll face a foe he’s yet to go head to head with, and that’s Chris Carson.
In 2018 Carson became the first Seahawk since Marshawn Lynch to run for more than 1,000 yards, and he’s already more than halfway to that mark in 2019. Against the Browns he repeatedly showed the burst to slide around defenders and the power to go through them, which, of course, means it was a normal Sunday carrying the football.
While the Browns could do little to slow Carson down in Week 6, the Ravens bring their basically league average run defense by DVOA to town to try and slow down the Seattle run game Sunday. It should certainly be interesting.
